Fun place for groups, decent sushi

They have interesting sushi creations. Not bad but I found the potions to be a bit small. Long and varied list of speciality drinks. Service was good. Our waiter was a bit overbearing. He wanted to interject himself in our group conversation. Kind of weird. But he was attentive and brought our... read more

Really interesting Asian Fusion Cuisine. The bar area was nice very large and roomy but the dining room was very nice complete with linen table cloths. The background music was Sinatra type and at a very nice volume level that enhanced the surroundings. I had two appetizers that were great and filling with nice side sauces accompanying them. More than... More

If you're entertaining business associates from any where in the world and you have a party of 10+, Saucebox is worth a try. The bar/wait staff are excellent. I have the chef choose appetizers and dishes to pass so everyone can chat and just eat fantastic food from America, Asia, and Europe. The wine/cocktail menu are very international and the... More

The waiter got really grumpy about splitting checks. After we left he tried to put another $60 on my tab- when I didn't have any food!!! So if in a group, keep track of your bill and pay cash. Asian fusion cuisine. Yum- the brussel sprouts are pretty famous. They come in a yummy broth. Our friends also had the... More

From the cocktails to the food, Odenburb, we're thrilled that you loved our menu! Sorry about the service issue -- that is not our norm. We always intend to accommodate guests as best as possible, no matter how big the group. We apologize for showing you otherwise, and I will be sure to speak with our team about this. Thanks... More

We stopped in here for a late night bite to eat and I discovered the best margaritas! This is a great place if you are looking for excellent cocktails and classy foodie-type food. My husband was not impressed with the food only because he is a meat and potatoes' guy. Definitely recommend it to those with a more sophisticated palate... More

Great restaurant in Portland that I visit nearly every time I travel to Stumptown. Brussels sprouts (crispy) with miso and a poached egg are incredible. Don't miss it

Thanks for letting people know about those Brussels Sprouts, Scott. We're trying to change people's minds about sprouts one dish at a time. See you next time you're in the neighborhood, Bruce Carey Owner More

Bartenders know how to pour a great drink and their appetizers are fantastic! They have outdoor seating in the warmer months which is helpful because this place is busy!

If you want an amazing dining experience with great Asian small/large plates as well as local Oregon favorites, Saucebox is your place. The service is 5-star and the drinks are very cutting edge with a great wine menu. Great for large business dinners with international clientele. Whiskey tasting is very cool.

Great staff and atmosphere. Everyone will like the offerings; there is something for everyone (carnivores and vegetarians). The brusssel sprouts were actually good. We stuck to the cheaper appetizer menu and had a good meal. Place is dark-wooded and open-tabled at front, so may be a cool downtown place for a first date (although the main menu is slightly $$)...
