One of our favorite much spots on NW 23rd!

We hadn't dined here in a couple of years (we are from Eugene) but decided to have lunch there yesterday. It did NOT disappoint! My husband and I split a salad and split the scallop risotto, both of which were excellent. Our daughter had the salmon and it was FABULOUS! My husband who never... read more

We've been eating at Papa Haydn since the mid 80's and are still going back! Great foo. They are known for their desserts -- which are getting pretty high priced...!!!

My fiancé and her family have been coming here for a long time. I was lucky enough to have my first visit last week. The food and service was awesome! Highly recommend the French onion soup and the croque Madame. Their specialty drinks were on point as well. Will be back next time in the area!

We ALWAYS go here. It's been a family and Friend favorite for as long as it's been in biz! This time we shared the Baked Alaska! Double Triple YUM!!! There was plenty for the three of us! What fun!!!

I come here every time I visit my daughter in Portland. I have been to Vienna many times and Papa Hayden's atmosphere, food and service is as good as any of the famous cafes I have visited in Vienna. Delicious food and desserts and a European ambiance.

menu is simple, portions perfect. small dining areas. Staff is wonderful, polite and alive. nice wine selection I ordered the CROQUE MONSIEUR and was disappointed. for me a perfect Croque Monsieur is a delicate balance of brioche, ham cheese and bechamel. this sandwich was very oily. however my guest ordered the Salmon - excellent, chicken fried sandwich excellent, and a... You might want to share as the portions are generous for as rich as they are ... we didn't and survived to tell the tale :-) The most difficult part was picking only one; they all look so yummy. I went with the chocolate mousde cube ... my mouth is watering just thinking about it. Girlfriend had the lemon curd... More

We passed Papa Haydn one afternoon and decided to make a reservation there for dinner. It was very crowded when we arrived so making a reservation is definitely recommended. I had the linguine with mussels and it was very good. The desserts were delicious as well. NW 23rd Ave is very lively and fun so definitely walk around before or... More

I ate a delicious bowl of squash soup on a cold rainy day. Wonderful! The place was crowded , we didn't have to wait long for a table. The server put us in a corner so the baby wouldn't get chilled whenever the door opened The soup and bread were filling. I plan to return sometime and try one of... More

Papa Hayden restaurant serves wonderful, elegant desserts in a nice atmosphere. There are many options to choose from and the portions are quite large with the price being a little on the high side. The service was a little bit lacking in consistency but it won’t stop us from returning.
