Great place. We will go back.

We ate dinner here with family. We had a great meal and great experience from start to finish. The fresh bread and seasoned olive oil started our meal. We made no advanced plans for Valentine's Day and thought we'd be ordering room service due to our lack of planning while visiting Portland. Upon suggestion of the valet at Hotel Monaco, we walked in and were told they could sit us at the bar in about 45 min. Perfect! That was just the beginning of our good run. The... More

It's a tiny little place with big flavor. My friend and I shared a winter caprese, risotto, and the house specialty Sugo of beef braised in chianti and espresso. Along with that the waiter pick an excellent bottle of 2010 Ripassa that was perfect. The after dinner dessert wine topped off the meal splendidly. Excellent service, delicious food, wonderful drink.... More

This is a small Italian food restaurant the serving portions are great, not a heap of food but medium tasty portions. Small serving space, make reservations or enjoy "Happy Hour" next door in the bar, I had bruschetta with spicy tomato sauce and cold white wine, my partner had spicy meatballs and a tall cool draft beer. Good choice for... More

This was our second visit. While I'd recommend reservations, we happened in mid-week and found a table for two open. The food was delicious, wine list extensive, and our server delightful. While I very much enjoy wine, I'm no pro at choosing the right pairing, let alone understanding the subtle differences from one vintner, etc., to the next. Our server... More

We had 2 dinners over the course of a week here, and enjoyed each one. While small with an open kitchen, it was comfortable to have good conversations. The servers were both courteous and helpful with menu explanations and choices. My sister is a vegetarian and was able to select from several customized choices. The pasta dishes were amazing! We... we were in Portland recently and staying at a hotel in the NW area. I looked up this restaurant and decided to try it. We called and were given a reservation for 8pm. When we arrived, our table was not quite yet available but the owner? Maitre D nicely explained that the people at our table at taken longer than... More

We don't venture into Portland anymore but this trip and dinner were worthwhile and so much more. The food was spectacular, tasty and so fresh. The only drawback, its a little crammed and packed inside. The Tiramisu was the best I've ever had. Service was attentive and courteous. We had dinner in the suburbs usually where it's close to home... More

Wonderful salads to start followed by spectacular lasagne with chicken and apple for me and perfectly cooked salmon for her. The best fresh ingredients, expertly prepared.

What can I say that hasn't been said in the previous reviews? This place was great in every way. In truth though, I lucked out. My colleague and I went on a Monday night without reservations. Had we not gone somewhat early (6pm), I really don't think we'd have gotten a table. MAKE A RESERVATION. Otherwise, the meal and service... More
