Intimate, very friendly staff, good wine list. A bit noisy. The double cut pork chop with peaches was delicious, as were the salmon and the pasta. Very interesting desserts. Reservations advised.

Recently dined with friends here on a trip to Portland and had an excellent experience. It is a small setting, but the food and service more than offset the quaintness. Fresh made daily pastas and specials are some of the best I have eaten and the wine list offers many options. If you are in the area, make sure to... More

we made reservations for 7:30 and the place was packed. our party of six ordered a variety of dinners and everyone raved about each dish. the pasta with mushrooms was fabulous, the risotto was amazing and the lamp chops i had were seared to perfection. the staff was very attentive without going overboard. we've lived in Portland for 20+ years... Over the past 8 weeks I have eaten here about 7x. Each time perfect execution. Love this place and have eaten here when visiting Portland for almost 20 years. I always leave with a wow! They have daily specials and currently chinook salmon is in season. They prepare this dish in varying ways but current set up is amazing with... More

We really enjoyed this place, but before I would label this a great Italian restaurant I would put it into perspective more as an Italian fusion restaurant putting together local tastes with traditional Italian accents and dishes. Chinook salmon, lamb chops, and roasted pork chops don't bring back familiar memories of my times in northern Italy and Sicily, but they... More

We were a party of five and received very good service after meeting in the bar next door. The bread and appetizers were excellent for starters and our waiter was very helpful in selecting wines to accompany our main courses. They do not serve local wines, but the Italian varietals were quite diverse and of excellent quality. Every person at... More

Very small place (consider going with a group of 4 for a bigger table, the 2 tops are tiny) with excellent service and food! It's not inexpensive (1 salad, 2 entries, 2 glasses of wine almost $100) but the value is there. They split the excellent butter leaf salad for us and there was more than enough food. I had... More

When we told our guest that we were going to one of the top Italian restaurants in Portland and gave her the name she said, "I had a fabulous dinner there last night and I want to go again." Not that is a great review... The scene is intimate and the staff top notch. The kitchen is on display and... More

We went to this NW Portland neighborhood restaurant on the recommendation of a local and were not disappointed. The salads and entrees were fresh and tasty and the service was excellent. The setting is small and intimate and I would visit again. The place is small so reservations are a must unless you feel quite lucky.

Had the pleasure of going to this fine establishment last weekend. The restaurant has a great vibe and the table by the kitchen was so fun. It was a real treat watching the kitchen staff do their thing. And let me tell you they do it well. The menu had lots to choose from and from what I saw coming... More
