Kale salad was unique and delicious!

Great food in a relaxed, informal atmosphere with impeccable service, including the owner checking to make sure everything was to our satisfaction

Five stars in all categories. Our table had the Mingo salad, an anchovy-free cesaers salad; shrimp and crouton skewers; entrees of Northwest Halibut with crispy polenta on a bed of warm heirloom tomatoes, gnocchi (unlike any you have ever tried), superb pork raviolis and fresh asparagus and mozzerella risotto. All excellent. Try Martins pick of the day...you wont be disappointed.... More

Caffe Mingo is wonderful. If you have to wait, there is a lovely bar for drinks and starters attached to the Caffe that is their sister bar. The food at Caffe Mingo was wonderful. Patio dining is awesome. The service was great and our waitress was excellent. Can't say enough about the quality of food and wine.

We read that this was the best Italian place to eat in Portland. Seriously? It was OK but nothing exciting. Fish was good but atmosphere lacking. Sit near the window as inside tables dark and unpleasant by kitchen.

Thank goodness the staff at our hotel insisted THIS was the Italian restaurant to visit in NW Portland! Our experience at Mingo provided the best service we had during our week of dining out in Portland! When we couldn't decide on a wine, our waitress brought three tastes to our table for us to try! I raved about the tomatoes... More

We love Mingo! The smaller restaurant on 23rd is so good, with a very firiendly staff and wonderful Italian. We really love Mingo in Beaverton as they take reservations, and have a great bar. The chef at the Beaverton location , Martine , is fantastic. Both restaurants offer the best Caesar salad..and a signature pasta,Sugo is so so good...along with many other... More

Cafe Mingo was recommended and a short walk from The Inn at Northrop Station. We dined during the week and had a short wait for a table. The food was worth waiting for. Exceptional pasta and seafood dishes. We recommend asking for a table in the back of the restaurant. My wife stayed entertained watching the chef prepare the various... More

We went to dinner the other night based on tripadvisor's reviews. We did not have a reservation but it was early and all the tables were empty. They seated us in a corner near a door we termed the "locker room". Staff frequently came and went through this door which was directly behind my wife's chair. By the time we... More

I've eaten here since the year they opened and I'm always blown away with the food, the wines, the service. We don't live in Portland but have been visiting for years. The first trip the hotels concierge recommended and we were hooked. Then they have wild King salmon, halibut I'm in heaven. Also they have a great dessert with Prunes.... More

Our company took over the entire restaurant for a dinner function. the restaurant was very accommodating to individual dietary needs. They served great wine both domestic and imported. The appetizers of shrimp, chopped liver, and cheese and various kinds of ham were outstanding. Main courses of halibut, chicken, or beef tenderloin very well prepared. Lots of great dessert choices. this... More
