Large selection of local draft beers and a good variety of items on the menu. Had a custom made vegetarian plate made and it was very tasty. Overall group (4) consensus was very good but not excellent. Meals and drinks averaged about 30-35.00 per person

Was taken here on a business trip by a vendor and must say that I am really glad they did!! I had the steak and it was delicious!! We also had a meat plate as a starter and the oysters too which were all delicious. The ambiance was great too!!

Beautiful building and the staff is great, but the food is really not to my liking. We went with another couple and I am glad to have tried it, but most likely not again.

One of the first restaurants to feature Northwest Cuisines (dishes prepared with northwest ingredients), Higgins retains its quality in its second decade of operation. The in-house charcuterie is well-known, and I have found the soups always to be worth having. A very sophisticated wine list with many outstanding Northwest wines. White table cloths and white-shirted waitstaff.

Pretty much everything great about Portland. Locally sourced meals with lots of cool vegetables. Excellent service but menu can vary wildly (with interesting things) from month to month. Atmosphere is comfortable and not pretentious in any way. Also larger portions than some comparable restaurants, which is something I like.
