We joined friends as a party of five for Saturday breakfast. By the time we were seated it was lunchtime. Thus it goes with a well known restaurant moving to a new space. coffee was provided sidewalk side for our wait. Once seated our waitress was superb, prompt in taking order and the brunch was... read more

Besaw's reopened last week. We are glad they are back! A friend an I were there for dinner. We sat at the little bar area in front of the open kitchen. It was a lot of fun to watch the kitchen action and the wait staff do their thing. The service was terrific! The wait staff is very knowledgable and... More

Where to start... With all the hype about the rebooting of Besaw's, we decided to see how they made the transition to their new location. We kept tabs on each new setback in opening dates over the months (the day after they opened the home page of their website still talked about the opening in late summer). Though not a... More

We tried the new Besaws and anticipated a great experience. The new building is wonderful and the environment is inviting. However, that is where our positive experience ended. First. A girl brought us water, poured it for us and left the table without a word. We did not know if this was our wait staff but felt odd about the... More

My son and I went to have breakfast and will not be returning. First the good... the waiter remembered my name, even as we left. Now the not so good... Very few breakfast choices. At least 50% more like 75% over priced (six inch pancakes at $4/ea, two eggs, two slices of bacon, about 1/2 cup potatoes and no toast,... More

This was a "looks interesting, let's try it" moment - food was great, especially the meatloaf, the waiter was wonderful, and the atmosphere was very pleasant - obviously a neighborhood favourite - we were staying at a close by hotel, and the short walk to the restaurant was delightful; a great find, and one to return to in the future.

This was my go to spot in downtown for business breakfasts, sadly, they had a bastar& for a landlord. GREAT food, great service, lots of creative dishes. Looking forward to them reopening in a new location ( as are many other Portland residents)

The meatloaf rocked, better than the risotto. The risotto was great, but something about the ingredients in that meatloaf made us lick our plates. Fun, lively place. Waiters very personable, Located northwest of ABC district and Pearl district. Upcoming neighborhood!

We love going to Besaw's on a monthly basis. They have great food and service. They have a local garden and use many organic foods. They have the best coffee as well. We had to go before they closed down for the summer, they will be relocating and hopefully opening soon. It will be difficult to wait for our favorite... More

The breakfast here is one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. They make their own ketchup, and it's delicious! The coffee was good. Food was amazing! If you are in Portland, you have to eat here. Service was great too. My coffee cup stayed full.
