We had breakfast here, huevos rancheros, and Burrito. Unlike any other breaky we've had ever. The portions were more than enough and the flavour shone through. The food came piping hot and just when you think you cannot eat another bite you just have to finish the wonderful rosemary potatoes you have on your plate. We should have gone back... More

We passed this place several times while in the area and it was always busy so we decided to give it a try one evening. we were quite early so didn't have to wait long for a table. We were seated inside just near the pass so we had fun watching the activity in the kitchen area. we had chicken... More

I have spent many mornings, afternoons and evenings enjoying Besaw's offerings. Their brunch is SOLID! the wait can be an issue, but they've taken reservations - so it can help to cut the line a bit. Also, you can expect to wait for weekend brunch anywhere in Portland. Dinner provided me with the best salmon dish I have ever had.... More

I love coming here for breakfast whenever I come downtown. Sitting inside or outside, both atmospheres make the time spent there welcoming. I love the breakfast burrito, they aren't stingy with portion of food or toppings. The staff here is always in good spirits as well. Try this place out when you get the chance!

I had read about the wonderful breakfast at Besaw's, but our hotel had a good breakfast selection so we decided to go here for dinner somewhat last minute and made a reservation about an hour before (on a Friday night). We were glad we did because there was a line when we arrived! Apparently a large party had come in.... More

We arrived about 10:30 am on a Wednesday morning and were surprised at how busy the restaurant was. It was a great mix of people of all ages. They serve breakfast every day until 3 pm, and the lunch menu was about half the size of the breakfast menu, so this is definitely a place for breakfast. My husband ordered... More

Our evening had n unfortunate start as a waiter was not initially assigned to our outdoor table. Once started, our waitress made up for everything in outstanding fashion, Our appetizers were Mushroom Bruschetta (Oregon wild mushrooms). This was very tasty and an unusual treat for us.We ordered Hanger Steak and Pheasant stew. Both items had run out, so we were... More

This place is the oldest operating restaurant in Portland and for good reason! the food is spectacular to say the least. All the ingredients are locally grown or harvested and the meat and cheese platter is to die for. The drinks are pretty decent and they have a great selection of local beers and wines. they cater to the meat... More

On this visit to Portland, we wanted to visit one of the city's iconic restaurants - Besaw's. The experience was underwhelming. The place is intimate and nice, very home-y feeling. The menu is interesting but somewhat limited. There is only ONE kind of omelette on the menu -- avocado (which I don't care for). Seems they could be more flexible... More

Fresh local ingredients and a fine hand in the kitchen are the norm in Portland's restaurant scene but Besaw's stands out for its friendly ambiance, lack of pretension and the value offered by its varied menu. On a recent visit, vegetarian, beef and fish options competed for our attention and after sharing tastes there was no clear winner for top... More
