Friendly staff, good drink selection for late night outing.

We had a change of plans for Valentine's day, so got looking for reservations late in the game. We'd never been to Cassidy's, but they had an opening for reservations and decided to try it. In checking out the menu beforehand, we found it had a very appealing wine list, as well as menu. This is one of the few... More

I had been to Cassidy's before because I was recommend for their hamburgers, which are really great, good old fashioned big patty with cheese, lettuce, tomato and then they have this seasoned Ketchup that is really tasty. So the problem in Portland is that everything is closed by 10:00 and my wife and I like to eat after the game,... More

I have been going to Cassidy's for years now. I love this place. It has the warmth of an established bar and restaurant. Cool old wood back bar, small tables and wood booths in the bar. Also in the restaurant. We usually come here for late night, and they are open late to accommodate the service industry, The food is... More

We were looking for a late night restaurant when we arrived in Portland and Cassidy's came up a recommendation. Billing itself as one of the oldest restaurants in Portland, it definitely looks like a throwback when you walk in. But, the food is uniformly excellent, the pasta is handmade and delicious and the onion soup has just the right amount... More

good recommendation! My pork shoulder with white bean ragout was tender, perfectly cooked and very tasty. Georgia's gnocchi were also perfectly cooked, and she enjoyed them too. We were the first diners at 5:30 for a pre-show dinner. Service was prompt, non-intrusive and attentive. It's on our list for a second visit.

Okay....yes....it's a dive bar, but if you are hungry and looking for a great Happy Hour then don't pass this place up just because it's not as posh as some of its new neighbors. I was pleasantly surprised to find a gourmet grilled cheese sandwich served with a steaming hot bowl of roasted red pepper and tomato soup (topped with... More

We were staying just 2 blocks away and arrived late at our hotel...we didnt feel like hunting too much for a specific restaurant so went into cassidys as it was conveniently located. We were bowled over by the excellent service and the food was great! Can't believe this place isn't ranked higher on Trip Advisor. Really nice comfortable relaxed atmosphere... More

I was staying nearby at the Hotel DeLuxe and was recommended this for dinner/drink after arriving late. Had a great burger and local cider. Will likely go back to try some of the other delicious sounding menu items.

Staff was very friendly. The place to go if you are entertaining needs a more down to earth flair. Didn't eat while I was there but saw some bacon topped macaroni and cheese come out of the kitchen that looked and smelled amazing
