Found this resturant by chance and it was a great find. We turned up about half 6 and just got a table. People were waiting outside to get a table after we sat down. The food was excellent, the pasta was all homemade and very delious. The staff were very pleasant. I loved the football shirts all around the resturant,... More

I met some friends from town here after work. We shared some excellent wine and had great meals here. The caprese salad was light and delectable. I had the spaghetti with meatballs. They were perfect, as expected. The seating area was very small as the place was packed. I would call it intimate dining and great fun. you should give... More

Me and my girlfriend stopped in to get a bite to eat before exploring the city and the food was amazing. Our server was chill and great with a sweet mustache! The atmosphere was cool too with all the soccer jerseys hanging on the ceiling and walls. I'll be back! (Arnold voice)

This small, crowded, somewhat noisy Italian restaurant provides delicious food and a great atmosphere. We try to visit whenever we are in Portland. We have never been disappointed. Weekend nights are especially fun because there is live music. We were not in town for the weekend so missed out on that. N.B. This is a small place with tables pretty... More

Went for New Years' Eve with my daughter. Not what I originally expected. Soccer jerseys across the ceiling, etc. Great atmosphere, and authentic Italian feel. I am Italian and grew up on the east coast and felt right at home. Best lasagne we've ever had. Ever. The ossobuco was excellent. Going back very soon.

There was a large group of us (15) meeting at Piazza Italia for dinner. I was really excited because I had heard such great things about this place. We arrived at the restaurant at different times but within 15 minutes of each other. Apparently this is not acceptable because owner/ greeter/ head person decided the last two people in our... More

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Portland (my husband and I even had our rehearsal dinner here a few years ago). It is small, so reservations are recommended, but once you are there the experience is just perfect. From great service to great food. The lasagne is spectacular! A must visit if you are wandering around the Pearl... More

I love love love the old school Italian staff and vibes! They are so so sweet, I adore them. Everything from the bread, wine, soccer on every TV, Caprese salad, Gino's favorite, Rigatoni bolognese.... Are all A+ Just wish it was a little bit bigger, more seating. But then it wouldn't be as quaint. Just make sure you have reservations,... More

We actually dined here twice in a week during a recent visit to Portland. It was that good. Certainly gives you the feeling that you are dining in a little place in Florence or Venice. We ate outside on our first visit and the feel was very European. The second visit we are inside. Very bustling. The food was very... More
