Although the restaurant is small, the food and atmosphere are very welcoming. The food was excellent and authentic! The specials were fabulous! Live entertainment was great. Family friendly, too! I recommend reservations. Best of all the prices were reasonable, VERY reasonable!!

You know the kind of place I'm talking about. The little corner Italian restaurant with the old man who greets you on the sidewalk and goads you to come in. The place where there's a deli counter inside the restaurant that sells fresh salami and cheese. The place where an old Italian grandmother comes around and taps your shoulder to... More

Our 2 adult children were in town for a visit...we all decided on Italian. My husband and I have been here many times, but not in the past year. Called at 5:00pm Saturday night for a reservation and of course none were available. They said, come on down we have outdoor seating and a few "walk-in tables". We arrived just... More

The smell and ambiance of this small neighborhood Italian restaurant will really make you feel like you're in Italy. The service was excellent...even too fast, the menu was small with numerous pastas--but basically pasta. We wish there was more to choose from, ie, chicken, fish, etc. The small cramped space added to the experience. A very nice wine list, great... More

Recommended by friends. Made reservations a week before trip to Portland; only 830 pm seating available on a Saturday night. Arrived early, but the place was full and had to wait outside with a carafe of Sangiovese until the appointed hour. Small place, crowded seating, but great atmosphere, wonderful food and friendly, helpful service. Only regret was that, despite a... More

We discovered this place a few months ago, and now have visited each of the 3 times we have been back to Portland. It is very much like an Italian trattoria. Some of the specials have been things that we see very seldom outside of Italy (cuttlefish ink pasta), and the food has been consistently good. They also have a... More

My wife and I had a few hours before our train left Portland for Vancouver BC (definitely a trip worth taking, by the way), so we wandered over toe Piazza Italia, about 15 minutes from the station. We sat at a table on the sidewalk, which was great because it was Sunday, the area was quiet, but people were wandering... More

This restaurant came highly recommended so we looked forward to good meal here. It was good but not great - a few tweaks and it could be awesome! Inspired: the atmosphere - cool soccer paraphernalia and matches on TV Atmosphere: like we were in Italy with the hustle and bustle Service: not fluid Food: OK Return: nope
