Classic Portland eatery

I went here with a friend to catch-up while in town on business. The oldest place in Portland and very cool and historic looking. The owner even came over to say hi and chat with us, not a comment occurrence at other places. I ordered the halibut and it was amazing. And the beer break which is... read more

We were attracted to this restaurant because it has been a mainstay in Portland since 1879! The young turkey dinner meal was comfort food at its finest!! The stuffing, turkey, gravy, and cranberry sauce were divine! Bartenders mixing up their famous flaming Spanish coffee were fun to watch. The only downside was the table we were at felt a little... Billed as Portland’s oldest restaurant, Huber’s is a fun place downtown that serves great food and drinks. We stopped in for dessert after an enjoyable evening wandering downtown Portland. The chocolate mousse was rich and plentiful. The sorbet berry mix was wonderful. My wife ordered an ice cream sundae and was rewarded with a large glass bowl filled with scopes... More

If you love real roast turkey this is the place to come. This is an old established restaurant in downtown Portland, Oregon on SW 3rd Street. The menu features Turkey in everyway also Baked ham served the old and traditional way. The interior of this place is beautiful, the bar of old wood and has been in Portland for years.... More

We stumbled into Hubers just because we wanted something good to eat and it looked like it would fit the bill. We had no idea that Hubers specializes in Turkey!! But it was ok because we love Turkey. Besides the food being good our Server, Yuko was fantastic. She was so personable and shared stories with us regarding her life... More

I was in Portland, OR for a business conference and a bunch of us went to Huber's after the dinner event. This place is a great place to go to, kick back, relax and just have a good time. The service was excellent (fyi - we didn't eat, only had drinks) I wish we had gotten to eat there, because... More

The always-always special is turkey and dressing, and Huber's has been doing it for over 100 years. People come because it is Thanksgiving every day. There is also turkey in a variety of secondary presentations from turkey marsala to turkey spaghetti to turkey soup. The salads and side dishes are marvelous. Huber's offers a small selection of meats, fish, and... More

I've never been to a place that has specialized in turkey before, and now sure how they came up with that pitch, but I love turkey as was very happily surprised. They serve turkey in ways I've never seen before (pretty much as a sub for typically standard chicken dishes). Also have steak and seafood options. Great happy hour food... More

Gotta love turkey. They serve beef, seafood and pasta, too. But coming here is all about the turkey. Many dishes to choose from. Being the oldest continually operated restaurant in Portland, the owners have bragging rights. The signature drink is still Spanish Coffee and on a cold night in January, you want this. Prices are what you'd expect in Portland... More
