Turkey Turkey Turkey

I've never been to a place that has specialized in turkey before, and now sure how they came up with that pitch, but I love turkey as was very happily surprised. They serve turkey in ways I've never seen before (pretty much as a sub for typically standard chicken dishes). Also have steak and... read more

Gotta love turkey. They serve beef, seafood and pasta, too. But coming here is all about the turkey. Many dishes to choose from. Being the oldest continually operated restaurant in Portland, the owners have bragging rights. The signature drink is still Spanish Coffee and on a cold night in January, you want this. Prices are what you'd expect in Portland... More

We had a long romantic meal on Tuesday night starting with a plain sounding Caesar salad that was anything but plain. Then the full roast Turkey was scrumptious and the meat had real taste and soft moist texture. Sauvignon blanc form Napa was a perfect accompaniment. The service was the perfect blend of formal style with an air of familiarity... More

Had no idea when we went here that they specialize in turkey - just wasn't expecting that! With that said, the food was very good. I had an excellent turkey salad and my husband enjoyed a salmon dish. Along with turkey specialties there is a quite a variety of seafood as well. Very nice restaurant with high quality food and... A friend had recommended this resto to us and we were very happy to go there. The setting is in an old Art Deco room with a beautiful ceiling. The food was very good with many turkey specialities. The highlight was the bartender serving Spanish Coffee. Do try it. The show is fantastic!

Sunday evening we were escorted to the back and seated at a booth for 2. Excellent and attentive service with the showmanship of the Spanish coffee making... It is definitely a routine for show but still entertaining. For dessert we chose the iced decaf Spanish coffee and it was delicious... and boozy... dinner was decent enough with me getting the... Lovely historic building. Our previous visit was so good we returned with our daughter and her husband. Service was very slow and server did not check with us until the end of the meal. Atypical, based on past visit. We all had the typical turkey dinner; two had sliced turkey and two had turkey leg. Legs were tough: when I... More

We found Hubers somewhat unexpectedly, at the suggestion of the valet at Embassy Suites, after we learned the more popular restaurant down the way closed at 9 and wasn't particularly interested in us at 8:30 when we called. So - we headed to Hubers for late night dining and one of the very best evenings of our Oregon visit. A... More
