A historic downtown restaurant from 1879. It is know for it's turkey dinner, clam chowder and special Spanish coffee. We had Prime Rib and Salmon both were outstanding. The salad was very fresh with interesting veggies. The owner came to our table and was most gracious. Highly recommend Huber's!

Huber's has been around for about 1000 years and should be a "Must Visit" on any trip to Portland. The interior in the back is original as are the glass windows in the ceiling. The waiters are tuxedo clad, but the dress code is casual. The service is suberb, the food quite tasty and Spanish Coffee unbelievable.

I visited Huber's for takeout lunch recently. I simply wanted a greek salad with a white fish, like Tuna or Halibut. Huber's didn't have any Tuna and they wanted to charge me $19 to put Halibut on my salad, so I opted for a greek salad, minus the feta cheese and protein. The hostess was very friendly and my salad... More

Expansive men in an historic building. All 4 of us gave our choices t op ratings. The 3 course t u r key dinner enjoyed by myself and another was superb with all the traditional elements. The dressing was outstanding and the baked yam amazing. The presentation of mixed drinks at nearby tables a theatrical performance worthy of a separate... More

We had an excellent meal here ... 4 of us with varied tastes. The onion rings are excellent and you must order a Spanish coffee. The "show" is worth the price. Food is a little pricey but it's of good quality for sure.

My wife and I spent the weekend in Portland. After a full day we looked for a restaurant within walking distance to our hotel. We were intrigued with the age of this restaurant and were pleased that we didn't have to wait for a seat. We sat in the original section of the restaurant and enjoyed viewing the antiques. We... Our family stumbled across this place the first night in town as it was close to our hotel. The server got two of our four orders wrong and the prices were high compared to the marginal quality of the food.

We had diner several times in this restaurant which has a great ambience with good food (the buffalo dish is recommended) at reasonable prices. The waiters do an entertaining party trick with flaming Spanish coffees served at the table. The oldest restaurant (1879) in Portland and well worth a visit - booking advisable particularly if you want a booth.

Loved sitting in the original part of this historic restaurant. Great turkey piccatta & turkey drum stick.
