Perfection!

I have only good things to say about Tabla. My husband and I ate dinner there on Saturday evening just before the 5 - 6 PM Happy Hour ended. We opened with two glasses of bubbly Prosecco, followed by an appetizer of Crostini made 5 ways. It was hard to pick a favorite, from the lovely fresh beet... read more

Homemade pastas rule here ... don't miss the Tajarin, which I found to be as good as you'd enjoy in Piemonte. Fun, lively atmosphere, good friendly service and a solid menu make the dining experience better than most places. Food is fairly priced; portions are reasonable. Great for an 'everyday' dinner out as well as a special occasion. I'll be... More

Nice menu and great service. All the pasta is made in-house. I had the radiatore with bolonegese sauce. It was outstanding! My wife had the tajarin which was also very nice. Not many places make all their own pasta and Tabla does a great job. It not a large place so was not too noisy! We would definite return the... More

Tabla is a hidden Italian gem. (They changed their name to just Table Pasta y Vino recently.) Exceptionally delicious salad and fresh hand-made pasta prepared from scratch for each customer, attentive friendly staff and at Happy Hour pasta entrees are 1/2 off! We sat at the bar right in front of Chef Byron and watched him and the staff make... More

We ate at Tabla as part of Portland's Dining Month - a 3-course dinner for $29. Tabla was a great choice for this promotion. For the appetizer we enjoyed the crepe with goat cheese, arichoke, chili and mint...a wonderful combination of flavors. For the pasta my wife ordered the Linguine with shrimp, tomato sauce, and agromato oil. I had the... More

We were a group of eight on a Saturday night. They gave us a small private back room. The service was very good and and we enjoyed the food. We were having the Dine Out Portland set 3 course meal, but looking at the menu, it looked to be reasonably priced and have a good selection all the time.

This was our first trip to this restaurant. It was worth our 1.5 hour trip. The service was impeccable and the food was marvelous. From the special salads and soup that they offer as an appetizer to their incredible homemade pasta and entrees, each was uniquely flavored, made with the freshest ingredients and wonderfully presented. At our request, our waiter... More

We went here for their special Valentine's Day dinner at $45 each (no wine pairing offered or dessert included). Some aspects were good, but there was definitely room for improvement: 1. Food. Food carries a great deal of weight in the restaurant experience. Most of the food was pretty good, although nothing so creative that I would rave about it.... More

The restaurant presents itself as Mediterranean. The menu was mostly Italian, but not at all a conventional Italian restaurant (I am not sure if any dish had tomato sauce.) We all had the prix fixe three course meal, and the various members of the party (three out of four being vegetarians) had different appetizers, pasta, and entrees. We all enjoyed... More

I have been going to this restaurant since it opened 11 years ago and always wonder why I don't come back more often. They still have the 3 course meal, now $33, but we went for happy hour. Crostini for $1, half priced pastas (dungenous crab tortilli with baby chantrelles and the clams and mussels linguini) and 1/2 carafe of... More
