We had a great reunion here.

Gustav's Bier Stube (Der Rheinlander) has been around for over 50 years. We had a reunion of a group who went to Germany. Some of us expected "heavy German" food. What we had was great. Fondue, a salad, and an array of Sausage, Schnitzel, and Pork. The staff were very attentive.

Went here for dinner on July 18. Got our drink order right away, but couldn't get another drink after that. Not even water. My wife had a sandwich and enjoyed it. I ordered 3 links and they all tasted the same, reminded me of the cheap bulk pack of sausage hotdogs from Safeway. We don't visit Portland often and will... More

Absolutely the best German cuisine in the Northwest. Hard to find but worth the effort to find this eatery. Great service, menu, and exceptional atmosphere.

I live this place . The ambience is great and I had a great waiter with a good singing voice ! I had the bratwurst and was excellent . Served with sauerkraut and red cabbage. Just like my grandmothers recipe . Had fondue too. Was so good . My friend had the cabbage roll and she said it was very... More

We visited at just the right time, too early for dinner but just in time for happy hour. Split a French onion soup and cabbage rolls on the appetizer menu, then got the feast to share, which they did without charging extra. Fun beer hall atmosphere and a nice selection of beers. Recommend!

Really enjoyed the food and beer. Authentic German atmosphere including live music. I would recommend this place for a good meal at a decent price.

This is great German food, I would go back here again. I had this beef dish that was very tender. I would go here again.

I love the fondue here and the pretzels and sausage are great too! We stopped in on a recent Sunday and were pleased to discover that it was all-day happy hour so the appies were $5-6 each. It's a good place to stop for a drink and pub food with the kids in tow.

Nice variety of choices on menu. I chose a roast pork with red cabbage and my husband had cabbage rolls. Both dishes were deeply flavorful. My pork was tender and moist, the cabbage had a nice bite to complement the meat. We'll be back!
