Picture Perfect Brunch

Have you ever looked at a photo of the perfect brunch in a glossy magazine and wondered where they made such food? Well, wonder no more that food can be found at Broder. I've been to Broder several times and every experience has been amazing. The cafe is tiny but since we visit on the week... read more

This charming and always full restaurant features Swedish menu items and they're done impeccably! I've eaten here several times and have never been disappointed (except when the line was so long that I had to eat somewhere else!!). Exceptional service and even better food. A sure bet for breakfast or brunch - just make sure you get there early enough!!

I get tired of the same old breakfast and this was a treat! I did not have the scones yet are told they are terrific. the smoked trout hash was great. I will go back again for a lamb burger for lunch!

(This review is of the Nord location.) We generally don't like to wait to be seated in restaurants. But it was a rainy day in Portland (surprise, surprise), so we chose to stay rather than go out looking for someplace else. Boy, are we glad we did! The host was friendly, patient, and efficient. He brought us drinks from the... More

I love everything about this place, even waiting outside and sitting on a picnic table drinking self serve coffee until our table is ready. The Danish pancakes with homemade lemon curd...... the Lefse breakfast. I love the lighting and the atmosphere. Its one of those places where its always crowded and you don't mind, its part of the buzz.

Went here on a Tuesday morning and had to wait for about 15 minutes. We sat at the bar and our waiter was probably one of the best servers we had. Next time I am just going to get coffee and Danish pancakes. We had the hash with ham and ribs and lost eggs also. They were all great but... More

I was intrigued by the menu. I make lefse but haven't ever had it at a restaurant - theirs was very good, though the lefse is used more as a base for flavors and food vs. being a central component. Everything we tried was tasty and the wait wasn't that long (no reservations, unfortunately). Service was decent - they were... More

On a weekend morning you may have to wait a bit outside Broder's (NOT so likely at the new Broder's; I'm talking about the one on Clinton St.), but it's worth it and they put out a pot of good coffee. It's a small place, and we like to sit at the bar watching the cooks, who work very hard... More

If I could eat here every day, I would. The service is impeccable: frequent check-ins and recommendations; friendliness etc. No sooner had I finished pouring out the last of the water on the table into my cup when it was immediately replaced by a new bottle of water -- stuff like that. The food is amazing: I wish I could... More

Love Broder and willing to pay for Uber there and back again. Today I thought the portion on the smørrebrød trio was really too small. I left the place hungry--and that shouldn't be.
