A simple, unassuming locale that produces some of the best plates in Portland. They really care about their meat preparation and it shows. I don't et cheeseburgers often, even upscale ones, but this is my go-to place when I do. My wife loves their coleslaw and the very friendly staff.

Many people do not know of this place, but it will not be for long. Fantastic ribs and other great things.

Coworker and I were in town for a project and ended up here for dinner. Pretty good fare, and a fun build-out. I had teriyaki chicken and he had pork ribs. I'd order either again. I also had the Suffering Ba$tard cocktail and he had the Dark N Stormy. Both were good. I'd go back to try some of the... More

Came here with some friends for dinner Saturday night. Order at the counter and they bring the food out to you. Decent Happy Hour until 6 PM. Small parking lot, but there is street parking around. We all enjoyed are meals.

Not even close. Everything about this menu just misses the mark. I was hoping for da kine grinds, but this place attempts to "improve" on classic Island comfort food and I guess if you had no idea what saimin or musube should taste like you might find the meal ok, but searchers for "local" cuisine, look elsewhere

Food is very good, atmosphere cafeteria like, staff is average. Macaroni salad very good. Hard to get local food, but this place does well.

Really surprised to find a "Real Hawaiian" restaurant in Portland serving spam musubi, kalua pig, poke, kim chee and shave ice! Many other good things on the menu--something for everybody, Will go back! Great service & friendly staff.

Teriyaki chicken and kuala pork are the best dishes we've tried. The chicken and pork are all very tender that they can almost melt in your mouth. Spam musubi was good but the one we've tried in Waikiki was better. One thing I dislike was that the food was too salty so make sure you drink lots of water or... More

This place is a must eat at place if you are in Portland. A friend's daughter had told us of this Hawaiian food restaurant and we knew they had a good happy hour so we thought we would check it out. The drinks were excellent, and the happy hour food was also excellent. The prices were extremely reasonable. I loved... More

This place is small, but packs a big punch with their food. We happened upon it on our arrival to the city--we were hungry, headed downtown but still on the east side of Portland. We just parked the car on a whim and went for a walk up the street. We saw Ate-Oh-Ate and walked up to read the posted... More
