Stopped in for a quick bite/early dinner on a Sunday. Got a seat at the sushi bar. Had a wonderful chef (don't remember her name). She asked what we like and made sashimi to our taste. There was an amazing salmon sampler with 5 different salmon species. A quick marinade/seared halibut. A sashimi plate of chef's choice. Some surf clam... More

We loved this place. The sushi was fresh and delicious!! This is one of our daughters favorite restaurants in Portland so she took us there. We had to wait for a table for 25 minutes ( but waiting is always a good sign). We walked down to the end of the block and grabbed a beer at one of the... More

Greatly promoted for its 'sustainable' sushi, the fish was old and tired when we ate there. Service was terrible, even tho we sat at the counter. Not one sushi item was fresh enough, and we had long waits for each successive order. Noisy interior. Supposed to be popular, but not with us, and we had a seafood chef with us... More

The sushi here is top notch. There is usually a wait at all locations but I think it is worth it. We get a few of the small sushi plates and really love them. I recommend the wild Alaskan salmon yuan-zuke and albacore crunchy nigiri!

Went with a colleague. Waited about 20 minutes for a table. Ambiance was very nice. Surround sound in bathroom teachers you Japanese (nice touch). The menu was educational and thorough. The food was hands down the BEST sushi I have ever had. The service was very attentive. The chef we had was great as well.

My husband and I are Sushi lovers and we approach sushi restaurants with excitement and some caution since we have been spoiled with great sushi. We went with our foodie friends and couldn't get a table so we sat at the sushi bar. From the time we sat down until we left our bartender/sushi host, Ghong, was absolutely amazing. She... More

Happy hour is great- half off sake, specials on hand rolls, etc. fun for hipsters or mid-lifers! The GGoddess roll is Perfection in a sushi flavor experience! Great atmosphere- and not too expensive either! I take all my out of town guests and they love it!

Tried this place after it came in #1 for sushi in Portland on a google search. Jackpot!! Ambiance, service and food were all exceptional. Crowd was a great mix young urban hipsters with older sushi aficionados .Great signature cocktails from the full bar. Kingfish was amazing. Delicately ately prepared with a citrus marinade .Salmon sashimi was excellent. Daily specials not... More

Probably the best sushi I have ever had, and that includes some great experiences in San Fran, Seattle, NYC, DC, etc. All the fish was incredibly fresh and the preparations were more creative and tastier than others I have had. I would highly recommend this place.
