Good Food, Indifferent Staff

This place has a lot of potential. The food was good and the homemade sauces were nice but too much ketchup and not enough smiles. I'll give them another try

we always love returning to las primas for lunch....i had a cristal lager, and my partner had the rum and cola cocktail...next, i had the pescado a la plancha and my partner had the naked peruvian sandwich...both came with salads, with real lettuce, thank goodness.....i emphasize real lettuce as opposed to arugula or kale that dominates most salads today...everything was... As soon as we walked in I had a funny feeling about this place. The staff is rude. And I felt some borderline racism, which is pretty rare in Portland. To top that, the food is just average! I don't care if the lady was having a bad day or what. I am not going back there to waste my... More

Unique type of food I've never previously experienced, served in a spacious, unpretentious, attractive setting. Terrific for a couple or a group -- but not a romantic evening. Everything we had was cooked perfectly, and the presentation was beautiful. We'll definitely return here. Order at the counter but served at table. Counter personnel delightful -- even allowed me to taste... More

The place is nice and well decorated. Kind of rustic. It is a zero service place: you chose out of the menu and receive a number. Keep costs down, I guess. I had a small salad (something from Costco), a juicy chicken empanada, a basket with my "lomo Saltado" sandwich and crunchy fries and one "churro" for dessert. For the... More

The wife and I had an afternoon without the kids, so we went someplace new. We had no idea what to expect, or even what to order. On the recommendation of the lady taking our order, we got the Butifarra and Slow Roasted Chicken. The Butifarra sandwich had a great flavor that I had never tasted before, and I did... More

We visited this place during Happy hour and were not disappointed. Good food at very reasonable prices. They also have Peruvian beer and the National drink of Peru the Pisco Sour . Try the house special the BUTIFARRA sandwich which is a pepper sliced pork sandwich with spicy mayo. Delicious!

The peruvian street food was the best I'd had since I was in Peru last November. Very inviting atmosphere with outside seating--for Portland summers. inexpensive and delicious. Order at front and they bring your food to you.

My husband was taking a bike repair class at the Bicycle Institute right next door, so we met for lunch here. We had a wonderfully fresh meal, that was unlike any I have had before. The quinoa salad was delicious, for that matter, the whole veggie plate was delicious. Will definitely return to try the empanadas.
