Excellent coffee roaster and shop

This little coffee shop was larger than expected. They had a good variety of drinks for customers to pick from. There were also some books and games to entertain yourself and friends with during a relaxing afternoon. Coffee was good and didn't taste burnt or bitter. Their baristas also treated everyone like long time customers.

The coffee and staff here are both quite good. Over my stay, I had two different danishes, and they were also very good.

This was a stop on my pedal bike tour of Portland. I think we met the owner Dan who gave us a tour of the store including the roasting machines and how they process all those great coffee beans. It was very interesting and was ended with a cup of coffee. Awesome way to start the morning.

Conveniently located in NW Portland, with a lot of windows, fri Wi-Fi, free international sports on TV (just ask), fresh food and roasted coffee, cool crowd and a lot of foreigners (a hostel is across the street from here). It's a great coffeehouse. It runs a bit on pricy side.

The dark roast is always good as are their treats. Baristas are friendly and it's a bonus that it's in Powell's books. I didn't use it but there is free wifi too. I go there everytime I go to Portland.

"Home grown" coffee shop with nice atmosphere, a good alternative to the chain coffee shops. The food was fresh and of high quality. We met friends there for an annual visit. It was conducive to visiting and conversation. As I was on a budget, I deferred lunch so my children could eat heartily.
