Perfect Stop

We stopped prior to dropping a friend off at the airport. The staff were friendly and worked quick to ensure we were out on time. The food was good- a bit on the salty side but it reflects the style of BBQ. I loved the baked potato soup!

One of our favorite chains. Went for Fathers Day. Didn't take too long for our group of 8 to be seated and service was excellent. Food was usual great and didn't take too long to arrive.

Don't get the brisket, it was dry & the smoke flavor was overwhelming. No real balance of flavor. The mac & cheese was very very good. The corn muffins were delicious. The collard greens were just eh'. Not good but not gross!! The pineapples are a must try. The servers were fantastic. They're probably the best thing about the experience.... More

We've been eating barbecued brisket all across the southern part of the U.S. during our travels this year and last. Many of the places we've visited, I've reviewed. My rating is strictly for the brisket at this location. Compared to the dozens of other places we've had brisket, the brisket here is close to the bottom. There was no smoked... More

The bartender Robert was very knowledgeable about all his 30 or 40 draft beers. When I ask him some local beers. He reccomended 4 and gave be a taste of each one.. I chose Arch Rock Gold Beach Larger and was not disapointed.... Robert then reminded me it was passed 9pm so happy hour prices went into effect... I had... More

Best barbeque in this area. Side dishes are good but not outstanding. Cornmeal muffins are out of this world. Wish they made hush puppies to be served with the fried catfish. The fish is seasoned nicely and tasty. The restaurant has a high noise level so not the best place to visit. Popular and usually crowded.

Went here today after hearing about it from a few friends & the place was great. I ordered the 1/2 rack of saint Louis ribs & my wife got the 1/2 rack of baby back ribs. The service was excellent & each entree comes with cornbread & two sides. The meat wasn't exactly fall off the bone but everything was... More

Cute little place. Enjoyed the atmosphere very much and our waiter was really great. Great service and he had quite an enjoyable personality. Friends got the baby back ribs, which they loved. I had to eat light, so I got the baked potato and it was really yummy.

We will usually stop here for a beer and BBQ dinner when passing through Portland. The place is clean, family oriented, a nice "Texas / Kansas" style dry rub BBQ. Plenty of BBQ sauce choices. I like the spare ribs, half rack with Mac and cheese and coleslaw. My wife eats the pulled pork sandwich without the bun. The side... More
