My wife and I had dinner here on a week night after having made reservations. The food was was very fresh, well prepared, and creative. We started with the freshest oysters which were excellent. For our next course the salads were again fresh and delicious. For our entree we both had Rock Fish which again was very fresh, pan cooked... More

First time to Portland and this was a las minute suggestion by the concierge. What a find it was. While dressing for dinner or a reservation was not required, the service and quality of the food made me feel like I should have dressed more formally. The staff managed to be very at tentative without being intrusive and the chefs... More

The grilled salmon was served on teriyaki eggplant and eggplant puree with crisped salmon skin...very interesting and delicious. The wine was poured from an estimated ration of 6 or 5 glasses to a bottle. Suggestion to servers: give the impression that you are being generous without appearing you are afraid to pour to much wine. Dessert of warm sugar donuts... More

VERY accommodating restaurant. They didn't have seating right away for a party of four (we did not have reservations) and they were extremely apologetic. They even gave us complementary champagne. The food was very good, the crab cakes were delicious. The service was superb.

On the pricy side, but very good and fresh seafood. Crabcakes were mostly crab (and different from an east coast crab cake) and the portion of mussels just the right size with a tasty coconut broth. We had a great Oregon Reisling, Love and Squalor, which I recommend if you like dry white wines. The light show was courtesy of... More

Tuesday night and we needed a reservation. Ate in the bar and still met our expectations. Great selection of fresh oysters, kumamoto and cow did not disappoint. The cedar plank salmon was ordered medium, moist with a hint of smoke. The pan fried rockfish was crispy outside, mild and moist inside obviously fresh and prepared correctly. Good meals for a... Friday night. Very busy bar. Two of us. Wait less than ten minutes. Service very courteous and prompt. Drinks selection fantastic. Probably the largest selection of rye whiskeys I've ever found. And they had Rittenhouse. Possible the best Manhattan I've had. On to dinner. We had reservations. Mussels for an app. Very tender and sauce quite light. We both had... More

The server was incredibly attentive. The food came almost too quickly, but that would be ridiculous to harp on. I came for the Onion Rings and they didn't disappoint. If you like a good wedge salad, you'll like this one. The bacon comes in cubes, which is unique..heavy dose of blue cheese chunks on it as well. The server suggested... More

Had dinner here last week with friends. Great service, but the meal itself was really pretty poor. I ordered the 3 course dinner, with the medallions and shrimp....mashed potatoes....The beef was tough/unremarkable, the shrimp were good but on the "skimpy side" and the mashed potatoes were like potato soup....A watery, not-very-hot mess on my plate...To make it worse, they were... The seafood platters with all fresh fish were excellent, with plenty of mussels, clams, oysters, shrimp and crab. My dinner was scallops, prepared fairly well, yes I am a scallop snob, but were not many (4) but very tasty. My wife's salmon, served on a cedar plank was excellent. Our wife was excellent. I would go again.
