Following a matinee of The Book of Mormon, my husband and I along with my son and his wife went to the Ringside Fish House for dinner. Although we were very familiar with the excellent Ringside Steak House, this was our first visit to its fishy cousin. We were very pleased. We all took advantage of their $30 3-course special,... I'm not really into fish, so I would not have gone here had a friend not suggested happy hour. They have specials on Monday - Saturday 3:30-6:30 for food and until 7 for drinks. The small bites are totally reaonable when it comes to pricing, and pretty good portions. They also have a good variety on their happy hour menu.... More

Great waiter, lovely setting overlooking a courtyard with children playing in the fountains. Quiet and relaxing where we could have a conversation!!!! The food was more than expected and served well.

The Ringside Fish House is a good restaurant which is overpriced. An ordinary Crab Louis cost $33! A seafood platter appetizer had not so fresh items for $25. Some of our entrees were good, however, My rockfish in curry sauce was excellent. The salmon was good. Service was fine. It is a very big and not particularly quiet restaurant. There... More

The concierge at our hotel (Heathman) suggested Ringside Fish House when we said we were looking for a seafood restaurant. When we arrived at the restaurant, they wished us Happy Annversary--the concierge had told them about our anniversary, even the year, and they remembered that detail! Service was good. Our waiter described a few specials without going into agonizing detail... More

Our favorite meal and evening was at the Ringside Fish House. Our server, Dawn was a breathe of fresh air. She was so helpful and kind. Go early and order the Pre-Theater pre-fix three course meal. Its only 38.00. You can start with either Lobster Bisque or a mixed green salad. I had the primes rib as the second course... More

I've eaten at this restaurant several times for different types of occasions and I have never been disappointed. Their onion rings and accompanying sauces are a super treat. Their clam chowder is excellent as well as their wedge salad. We have never had anything here that we didn't like. With it's upscale décor and 2nd floor seating, the ambience is... More

good food, many menu choices, nice atmosphere, good service, moderate prices, average portions. nothing really 'stands out', but after several visits it does rate better than average, not the same as Jakes Crawfish nor Ringsides Steakhouse.

Happy hour is from 3:00 until 7:00 and again after 9:00. There are many choices of delicious tapas priced from $3-$5, which we enjoyed so much that we ate dinner there both nights.

We dined here for our first night in Portland, then returned a few days later for Happy Hour. Both great experiences. Dinner started with a selection of six oysters from the daily oyster menu. Perfectly presented and explained-good mignonette sauce. We like our oysters mostly bare, not covered up with a bunch of ketchup. Husband had the cioppino and I... More
