A modern take on French Cuisine

Pricey but worth it. The most difficult time I had was deciding what I wanted to eat. The waitress was very helpful. The cheese board was excellent, my partner had Chicken Fried Trout - it was excellent, I had Fried Chicken Coq Au Vin and kept thinking what an interesting take on Coq au vin and... read more

Good, not great. Mains had odd combinations of flavors and parts completely lacked any kind of seasoning/dressing. Service was incredibly slow and uneven. It took forever to get our mains and mine came out on the cold side while my husband's was steaming hot; and yet the dessert menus arrived quicker than a flash. Would not go back.

Boy do I wish I lived closer to this restaurant. They totally know what they're doing! The service was attentive without being intrusive. The salad was deliciously flavorful, perfectly dressed. It was the cassoulet that was my little bit of heaven. I've enjoyed lunch here, but this was my first visit for dinner. It simply could not have been better.

If I could give more than 5, I would. That was a surreal experience. Everything was absolutely amazing. If you're in Portland this is a MUST.

We were looking for a little more upscale place for lunch so decided to try Little Bird based on the reviews. We were not disappointed. The decor is casual but nice - typical Portland. Service was excellent - attentive but not over-bearing. I had the "Cassoulet of Duck Leg" which was a hearty casserole dish with white beans, pork and... More

Recently returned to Little Bird for the fourth time and had our fourth great dinner. Worth the two hour drive. The french-inspired menu is excellent and the quality of the food is superb. One had Coq au Van that was served with superb potato puree and jus. Cleaned the plate. Two had the chicken-fried trout. Served topped with delicious crudités... More

We dined here Friday night, April 17 when we found ourselves in Portland unexpectedly. A friend had raved about it to me a year ago so I always thought next time we are in Portland, we will go. We couldn't get reservations until 9:30 but were kindly informed they don't book the whole restaurant and walk-ins were welcome. We arrived... More

There are many great qualities inside this this adorable restaurant. Exceptional dining waiting for you! We started off with the Roasted Bone Marrow that was melt in your mouth (literally). It had the consistency of a heavy butter but this savory, salty hard to find dish spreads over the grilled flat bread with ease. Being the first time either of... More

Let's face it, Little Bird is amazing! There are so many reasons to make a reservation at Little Bird and absolutely no reasons not to. The menu is creative, the food delicious, and the staff is 100% dedicated to your complete satisfaction. Because Little Bird seems to want to bring their "A" game to every evening I am going to...
