They have a prix fixe 5 course bistro menu. It's nice because you can sit down and not worry about making any choices. For an extra 30 bucks, they'll also give you a glass of wine with each course. We went for the wine. But I had a bad headache the next morning. I don't usually get headaches unless there's... More

We have wanted to eat at Little Bird for some time. Particularly after eating at Le Pigeon (the big sister restaurant, also DELICIOUS). It's a small cozy restaurant with an upstairs seating with about 6 tables. Before I get into the food, we opted to sit upstairs. The lower level is charming, but noisy. The upstairs is quieter. The food... More

While visiting the city we chose Little Bird from an article highlighting good restaurants in Portland and decided to treat ourselves. I wasn't disappointed. We were initially seated upstairs but it was very warm so we asked to move down, where it was at least 10 deg cooler. Our waiter, Eric was great from start to finish. I started with... More

We dropped into this restaurant while walking on a short visit to Portland. It was lunch time and we needed a bite to eat. The menu was classic French bistro with some classic American items such as hefty crab salad sandwiches as well. I had the roasted beef marrow plate, which included roasted mushrooms (in season in Oregon), grilled beef... More

This is where we end up when we need a boost of morale after a rough week of work or to recover from a bad experience somewhere else. This is one of our 3 favorite spots to take friends who are in town just for the day. Beautifully plated, well cooked food with a European flare. It is exactly what... More

Every bite was delicious! The food was interesting, but not inaccessible. Our server was a little in the cool side, but everyone else was quite pleasant. Overall, a really great experience, with a few dished (chicken fried trout and the souffle) that will long be remembered!

I walked to Little Bird from my hotel for an early happy hour bite, following a long travel day from the east. I had been once before earlier in the year, and was counting on the chalkboard specials. I ordered the foie gras torchon and a lovely white wine blend, and was in absolute heaven. The foie preparation was perfection-... More

We arrived a little early for our dinner reservation. I called ahead to get pre-dinner drink info and was told that there was space in the bar area and it wouldn't be a problem. We arrived to a very unfriendly host who was dismissive and unreasonably unaccomodating. Unfortunate, as this sets the tone for the dining experience which follows. Three chairs... More

Within easy walking distance of Old Town, downtown and the Pearl District, Little Bird Bistro is a lovely lunch, early dinner, and dining spot in southwest Portland. As it turns out, this cozy eatery is also a great spot for late-night snacks or meals. From 10 pm until midnight, Little Bird offers small plates, sides, salads, entrees, desserts and a... More

I was in Portland staying at the Benson hotel. I asked the concierge for a restaurant and was walking to their recommendation, when I walked past Little Bird, I looked in the window and fell in love. The oysters appetizer was so tasty. They had two types to choose from, a sweeter oyster and a saltier oyster. (I tried the... More
