We did a 4000 mile road trip last September and researched different restaurants before we left that we wanted to try in different cities. The criteria we used for our choices was that it had Great Ratings and reviews, Quality Food, Unique choices and a nice atmosphere. This place hit the mark on everything! It turned out to be the... A lively atmosphere, delicious food, and very friendly service make this a nice choice for dinner in downtown Portland. Good selection of wines by the glass with good choices from France as well as local Willamette Valley wineries. Tuna appetizer was outstanding. Lamb chops were decadently rich.

My first disclaimer is I am not a fan of French food. My wife picked this place. It was only fair, I picked the hotel. Anyway, I survived. The food was pretty good. Although, I think my stomach was slightly mad at me afterwards. The portions seem small. I did not enjoy sitting on the hard and awkward wood chair.... More

The food was great as was the service. Close to French food and well worth the visit, one of the best in Portland.

Of our party of five, the food verdict was: tough lamb (2), tough steak (2), excellent rabbit (1). Appetizer courses were very good. The steak for two was immense, almost embarrassingly so, and quite difficult to carve up. The waitstaff should offer to do so. The restaurant has an interesting wine menu with many French bottles, as well as NW... More

We had an event that ended at 9:30 p.m., and made a 10 p.m. reservation here. We were glad we did. The place was packed, even at that hour. (It only began to thin out nearer to closing time.) We had the best oysters ever - ordered half a dozen, then ordered 3 more. The burger was divine (and after... More

Based on TA and other food reviews, we made reservations and enjoyed lunch here after flying in to Pdx; however, given the rave reviews we were expecting something pretty special. I started with charred eggplant soup ( with goat cheese and crostini) and it was very pleasin- the highlight of the experience. The sandwich that followed it was good but... More

First stop of my weekend trip in Portland. Had an amazing dinner of fresh seafood. Excellent drinks, too.

We did not have a reservation but were seated within a few minutes. Dinner was a lovely end to a day of wine tasting in the Willamette valley. Food was great and they still have foie gras, which stunned our friend.
