Great food, Fair service

We loved the atmosphere here. I felt like I was in a bistro in Paris. The food was amazing. Lots of unexpected flavors pulled together. My husband and I both agree that the mussels were the best we have ever had. We also enjoyed the steak tartar with oysters. The price was a bit out of this world... read more

I had a disappointing meal at Little Bird last week, unfortunately. We haven't been back for a couple of years due to cost, but were excited about taking advantage of the dining month option this month. We had some fries to have with a drink to start with. Fries were soggy and limp - like the frying oil wasn't hot... More

Had dinner there with a friend on Thursday night and wondered why it has received such rave reviews. The bartender was very friendly and skilled, but the hostess and other female wait staff that we encountered were less so. Our waiter was knowledgeable and very helpful, but rushed as the place was packed and all the wait staff were extremely... More

Had dinner here with a party of 3. Food was fantastic! We all did the prix fix multi course menu. Each course offered choices and all were good. I had the pork shoulder and it was wonderful. Tender. Flavorful. Presented well. Cornbread dessert was fantastic also. Service was good. Drinks were good. Wine was good. We will go back!

Great French place for a night out - I was a solo diner after a day of work and sat at the bar. Terrific ambiance - and awesome food. Rich, delectable, huge portions. The wine list was extensive, tasteful and the bar service superb. Really nice night out in Portland. I'd go back to try more things - desserts looked... More

I've been here twice for lunch and once for dinner. Every dish I've had has been at least good, or better. The reasons I rated it less than five stars are: 1) I'm of the opinion there are not many truly five star anythings in the world, but their sister restaurant (Le Pigeon) qualifies most times I've dinned there, 2)... We came for the Portland Dining Month dinner, and even though they didn't have the chocolate dessert on the menu that I wanted, they brought it to me anyway! Fantastic food for every course! Loved it.

We dined here at 5:30pm (pre-show) and had their Portland Dining Month prix-fixe. It was much more affordable than their regular menu. Normally entrees are in the $27-30 range. We were seated promptly, but the 2-tops are so close together, I felt like the man next to me was breathing on my food. Very French, I suppose, but overall the... More

Usually we don't even order charcuterie. We figure it's something we can do at home just as well. Not this charcuterie -the sheer variety is mindboggling. It's a meal in and of itself. It included Scotch egg and things I've never tried before. The quality of the meats was first rate. Entree and dessert were fabulous as well. Not pricey... More

Called restaurant to make a reservation in the morning. Left all details. Was not called back until 5PM, only be informed, that I could only come in at 6.00pm or 9.30. Is there any reason why they have to wait until the last minute to inform people of this? The late hour of the callback severely limits one's other options.... More
