A great lunch with awesome staff

The night before we had eaten at their sister restaurant, The Aviary and my friends and I decided to try Little Bird for lunch. We really enjoyed it. Although we did not have a reservation, they were kind enough to find us a table in a very short time and it was one of the best dinners we have had.....anywhere!you will not be disappointed with anything you select from the diverse and interesting menu. This place was delicious and the staff was friendly, knowledgable and service minded. I would definitely include this on my list of restaurants to hit while visiting Portland. Get there early to avoid a wait. Reservations are recommended. We didn't have a reservation, arrived early and were seated right away.

This adorable restaurant has some of the most delicious food ever.... very friendly staff and a terrific selection of starters and entrees... we had a hard time selecting what to eat...everything was amazing.. Didn't have dessert so can't comment of that. They take a tremendous amount of pride in what they serve and it is very obvious !!

I was expecting more of a French Bistro experience so was a little disappointed in the scene and the fare. What I did like was the wonderful wine list with so many French favorites I could have wined the afternoon away. I thought the menu was a tad difficult in that I couldn’t just land on something. We ended up... More

We had planned to do the chef's tasting menu, but it was no longer on offer. With then help of our server, Suzanne, we put our own together. We completely over-ordered, but all of the food was wonderful. The mussels, bone marrow and fois gras were particular stand outs for us. The service was on par with the he excellent... More

Make reservations. The place was full and the service was good. We enjoyed our meal of Foie gras, coq au vin, and cassoulut. It was a lovely evening and we hope to return.

We went for dinner on one of the hottest nights of the year, so perhaps sitting up on the mezzanine was not the best idea, but we had a very enjoyable meal in spite of the heat. The view of the small room from up there is really nice - fun to watch all the dishes come out. I had... More
