Cocotte is an attractive and inviting small bistro located on NE Killingsworth Ave which is growing in stature as an location for some of the best small restaurants in town. I was traveling alone to Portland and decided to eat dinner at the bar at Cocotte. I started off with the grilled endive which was expertly seared and topped with... More

We love this cute little corner bistro in NE portland. We started with the escargot, then my husband had the pork, I had the cod and his daughter had the salmon. We all absolutely loved our dishes! Great care is taken with each dish and it is reflected in the fantastic flavored coming out of the kitchen. The staff was... More

Folks who were critical of Cocotte have probably never experienced a neighborhood bistro in Paris or Lyon, which are small, noisy and cheerful places for friends to enjoy good food and company. Cocotte captures that environment. Cocotte's novel twist on escargot is addictive! I had the risotto with mushrooms - creamy and earthy. My husband had the Mediterranean fish stew... More

Had a nice meal here of chicken liver mousse and then an entree of the risotto. My dining partners had delicious salmon mousse and the pork chop. Very good meals and good drinks.

Cocotte is a small, loud, neighborhood, overpriced bar, with lousy acoustics. Sounded like it would be a place for a nice French dinner. Dining partner had a seafood dish with mussels. Sauce was a tasteless mystery soup? My pork sandwich was edible but hardly worth the tab. Wine over priced. Other couple tried the "pork chop", that ended up being... More

I liked the decor and the service was fine. A bit of a wait though. The food was just so-so, burger and all. I also had the foie gras, and it must have been some defrosted piece of meat that was plain mush. I did not like it at all. Prices are vertiginous. I would not go back,

Came here for a drink at the bar while waiting to in across the street. Bartender was nice and the drinks were stiff but the prices were too high. The food looked nice but there wasn't much quantity on any of the plates that we saw going out of the kitchen.

I took my leadership team out for our annual dinner at Cocotte and I was very impressed. We reserved their private room (it fit 12 easily) so that we had privacy. The meal was incredible from their beautifully crafted cocktails, to escargot, pork confit crepes, to their seared tuna...every sip or bite we took was incredible. The service was spot... More

My wife and I went to celebrate just being in Love.... We live in Vancouver and took a cab so we could enjoy a nice French inspired meal at leisure. So first off the food was excellent... The non traditional escargot was fantastic .. The duck confit appetizer and chicken liver pate equally so. We shared the burger that was... More
