Talk about a great brunch

In the heart of an industrial area, this place was a super find. Thus was the SE location on Washington. I understand there is another in northern Portland area. We had a nice dining experience here. Wine selection is excellent, also by the glass. The kids menu is very good.

7 of us showed up without reservations on a Saturday night around 6pm which isn't that smart in Portland. Within a few minutes they cleared the bar for all of us & we got to watch the masters at work. They were preparing all the food right in front of us. The waitstaff, bartenders & cooks were all super nice... More

We'd wanted to try Olympic Provisions ("Olympia Provisions," as of February, 2015, when the IOC made them change their historically significant business name!) for years, but just never got around to it. Finally, an out-of-town friend suggested we meet there for dinner last Wednesday evening. The other couple made reservations and brought their own wine after learning the corkage fee... More

I've eaten here several times for brunch and never really cared to write about it. It was good, standard brunch fare, everything comes with an egg etc etc etc. However, we finally made it here for dinner and I was blown away! We sat at the bar, so we were watching the kitchen staff do their thing. It was good... More

This is an out-of-the-way place near the train tracks in southeast Portland. It's a meat place, so don't go expecting much vegetarian fare (thought it's there). They smoke their meat on site, thus the dining area can be smoky - if not visible, then certainly olfactory. You get over that quickly and are treated very well by the servers. If... More

The Randy. The best sandwich you will have. The bread is perfect, crispy on the outside, but not roof of mouth shreddingly so. It is soft in the middle, and perfectly sauced. There is the surprise crunch of hazelnuts. Just order it and eat it. Get a board too for some variety.

The ambience inside was excellent with great and helpful servers. Enjoyed the varieties of meat and cheese that we ordered as well as some great drinks. Definitely want to return!

Although a $10 cab ride from our hotel, Olympic Provisions was well worth searching out. Wife and I sat at the bar and not only enjoyed excellent charcuterie(French) and cheese boards, we felt the service was very good and we enjoyed watching the kitchen staff scurry around making all the meals. The only downer were the "fried almonds" they seem... More

I was hesitant to eat at Olympic provisions seening how I am a vegetarian. I was so impressed the food was amazing. My friends and I shared a cheeseboard and salad all delicious. And for my entrée I believe it was a blackened cod so delicious. They had great cocktails as well. Definitely will be coming back.
