Have been going to the Uptown Billiards Club since they opened - at first it was just for pool and beer (and the free casino nights when they hosted them) but started to go for food when the 5 course pairings started. I've only missed 1 so far and have been very satisfied every time. With 1 common theme for... More

It's a. But far from downtown but this swanky billiards joint was worth the trip. The 5 course tasting menu was outstanding. We paired with wine and loved the experience.

I've been going to Uptown Billiards since the conception of the 5 Course dinner. Although the prices have significantly gone up over the years, the meals are amazing. I've never had one I didn't enjoy. The themed courses are magnificent and the wine pairing are fantastic. Roxanne is a rock-star waitress whom we've had almost every time.

After reading the reviews I decided to make reservations for 4. One of our party has a severe dairy food allergy and the dinner menu was not posted on the website, so while making the reservations I asked if they could accommodate non dairy. Based on what I was told the sampling menu would not work but there were items... More

Okay, I decided to quit trying to keep this my personal secret--this is clearly the best value for amazing gourmet cuisine. We try to save our dining dollars and go here once a month. Each menu is built around a seasonal ingredient or theme, and there is always at least one dish that will really surprise you. About $50 each... More

It seems odd that a billards place is our favorite restaurant, especially when we don't even play billiards, but this place is absolutely amazing. We love it so much that we go at least once a month to partake of their 5-course dinner specials. Sign up for their email notices to find out what's cooking. They change their themed 5-course... Up two flights of stairs (no elevator which is a shame!), is a charming, lively scene. In the front , an inviting bar and 8 billiards tables for the mostly up-scale patrons. In the back, behind velvet-like noise reducing curtains, an intimate speak-easy-like restaurant space which is small--maybe 12 tables.. Each month or so the prix fix menu changes, with... More

Come for the billiards, stay for the atmosphere. Try the 5-course taster. Awesome casual hangout experience.

Went for the apple themed 5 course tasting menu - all courses were unique, and more importantly, very tasty. Wine pairings were well done and nicely complemented the food. One of the best meals I've had in Portland. Service was also excellent - courses were brought (and removed) discretely and the courses were well explained. The room is a cozy... More

We had the pleasure of dining at Uptown Billiards for their truffle dinner on Valentine's day. Yes there is a billiards room and a lovely dining room tucked off to the side. Beautiful bar with a hell of a story about how it got there! But dinner, wow, what can I say. From such a tiny kitchen, magic happens! I... More
