I've been a regular for a few years, I use to go to KIng's Cafe for the best dim sum in town. But they let things go and now it's just a bit spendy for less justification. So I switched to HK which was inexpensive and quite good. The last couple of times though and they seem to be going... More

From reading previous reviews I see that the dim sum sounds very good. I ate a combination dinner here on 12-28-13, and it was bad. It was extremely greasy, too salty, and lacking in subtlety. Altho I took the leftovers home, I threw them in the garbage and could not consider eating them again. From my experience, I'm guessing that... More

It took a bit to find the HK - it's in a corner of a large strip mall. So worth the hunt. This is amazing dim sum, better than anywhere else in Portland. This is our new favorite dim sum after being faithful to our other, older place(s) for 15+ years in Portland. Not one single dish has disappointed. In... More

We had 12 people for dinner today, and one came later, each of us ordered one dish from their special menu, we had a feast! all dinner came with free soup, and sweets after. Every special dish is under $9.00. Weekend is very busy, had to wait most of the time. I Love the dim-sum lunches, the carts comes around... More

We've been to the HK Cafe, not by choice, but because my in-laws insisted on going there. The first time we were there for dinner, we ordered the cold chicken dish. The waiter warned us that it was cold, which we said was okay. Traditionally the cold chicken dish is served with the chicken at or just below room temperature.... More

What would your opinion be when the first thing they serve you, coffe, he grabed by the lip of the cup, not the handle but he put his fingers inside the cup !!!!!!! The replacement came with coffe spilled on the outside of the cup and a mismached saucer....The third came fine but the clock had already started ticking negatively.... More

Great place for authentic dim sum. The place is always full with expert dim sum diners. The is old school dim sum dining with many carts circulating throughout the restaurant filled with a huge selection of tasty morsels. The prices are good too!

First time here. Our Chinese-American friends who find the good places brought us here because we asked for a good Dim Sum meal. This place did not disappoint us in most ways. I didn't count but was told that there were five carts in operation. That represents tremendous variety and constant opportunities to try something more. In addition we received... More

My family and I eat here quite a bit, mostly for the dim sum. The quality/price is pretty comparable to Wong's on Division. This place used to be our back up if Wong's was to crowded, but its been flipped-flopped. Get here early because it fills up fast. Although, there is more variety after noon time. The dinner is pretty... More

Dimsum is cheap here during week days, only $2.5 per plate. Dinner is alright, but needs improvement because the chefs are confused what Cantonese style food taste like
