Great atmosphere inside. Had a live band when we visited. We got the 3 course meal and each course was delicious! Friendly staff as well!
When we attend the symphony, we always dine here. This month they are featuring lobster and it is not to be missed! I had the lobster bisque which was very light and delicious. My wife had the lobster tail and steak which she thoroughly enjoyed. My choice of the lobster risotto was fantastic. The special wine of the month was... More
This restaurant is a nice place to have lunch while shopping downtown. We like the décor and loved the soft background music. It seemed right for a French style restaurant. The black truffle fries were delicious. The chicken on the chicken salad was a bit tasteless. On this day, service was borderline slow at our table. FYI for the staff... More
My husband and I had two great meals at this cute restaurant. The first time we came here we stumbled on it and they were having Happy Hour specials, which were a great deal. I had a glass of wine, my husband had a beer and we shared the Duck Fat Fries. I highly recommend trying them. The second time... More
I loved the eclectic decor of this restaurant. They have an outstanding happy hour. Wine $4 and many food items under $10. We tried the coq a vin, sausage and pommel frites. Everything was very tasty and filling. I would come back here in a heartbeat.
The black truffle fries are excellent! We also loved the crispy calamari. The Pork Cheek Nuggets with honey- mustard aioli & picked vegetables were quite a pleasant surprise! Christoper is a great waiter.
Pleasant restaurant, reasonably priced for a very French bistro. Excellent coq au vin and trout, attentive but unobtrusive staff. Fun art on the old brick walls. Easy walk from downtown hotels.
Went here for happy hour after arriving at our downtown Portland hotel. Pleased with the food (particularly loved the pork cheeks) and drinks. Friendly service and great value. We enjoyed exploring the restaurant hallways and dining rooms to admire the crayon art competition pieces displayed throughout.
I was recently in Portland on business and the Brasserie Montmartre restaurant was around the corner from my hotel. They have a full happy hour menu - I had a salad and a beef sandwich. The glass of red wine I drank was tasty and the price for all was a good value. The staff were friendly and service was... More
This is a French restaurant but you can't tell when first walking in. No tablecloths or elegant waiters dressed in tuxedos. Instead it could be any casual bar and grill. But the menu had interesting choices and all of the food was quite good. Not terribly expensive. There was a jazz combo playing that night - fortunately not too loud... More
