I visit Portland often and I always make it to Cabezon for at least one meal. Chef David Farrell consistently delivers high caliber fare with obvious attention to detail. The Cioppino is one dish that never leaves the menu for good reason. The other items change with the seasonal produce available. On the last visit we had the local black... More

Got to try their cioppino which is full of shrimp, crab legs, octopus, whie fish and clams. The taste was so unique!

As tourists in Portland recently, we were lucky to find Cabezon, since it seems to be a "locals secret" kind of place. The chef here specializes in the freshest seafood and local, sustainably grown ingredients, and he definitely did not disappoint The food was delicious, they have a good wine list that isn't too pricey, and our server was friendly... We were staying at a hotel near the airport and didn't want to drive far for dinner. A search at TripAdvisor revealed that Cabezon should satisfy our desire for good food at a quiet nearby restaurant. And it did. The service and the food were good to very good. I had the catch of the day which was a Hawaiian... More

If you like interesting combination of flavors, you will love this restaurant. We chose to try 3 appetizers instead of one entrée---great chance to try 3 different treats (pork pate, Carolina Gumbo and Basil wrapped shrimp)---and were very satisfied, but did have enough room for Homemade blackberry ice cream sandwitches. They have a wide selection of wines and drinks for... More

Food and service were excellent. Jackie and Janessa were are servers. They were attentive and full of good information. Small menu but dishes were very good. Only one beer on tap but a pretty good wine list. Small venue. We were there on a Wednesday at 6:15 and got the last table. Strongly suggest reservations.

Try this place because closer to our hotel, it didn't disappoint us. Food was delicious.. Complimentary bread was excellent, dark sour bread. Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside.. Dessert was really good, almond cake sprinkle with fresh berries and sauce..yum..yum..

We had some delicious, fresh, thin slices of salmon with crunchy bread as an appetizer since we had already decided on having meat as the entree instead of seafood. I had a steak that was cooked perfectly medium and had a sauce that complimented it nicely. Although it seemed like most of the people around us all ordered the Cioppino... More

It was a really fun place to enjoy a great time and good food. Cippinio was OK, maybe I like a spicier version with an Italian flare. The apps and the desert was really great as was our server!

While this isn't a strictly seafood restaurant we were in the mood for fish and decided to do something different - this came up in our "seafood" search. It was MLS All Star weekend in Portland and we didn't want to deal with the downtown/obvious. Love the Hollywood neighborhood anyway and it was a beautiful night so we sat outside... More
