Outstanding!

This is a small locally owned restaurant that makes traditional Swiss meals. Seating space is limited so be sure to allow time in case they are busy. Daily specials offered. We had four different meals and all were outstanding. I had the goulash with spatzle. Tender meat, rich smooth sauce and... read more

This is a small locally owned restaurant that makes traditional Swiss meals. Seating space is limited so be sure to allow time in case they are busy. Daily specials offered. We had four different meals and all were outstanding. I had the goulash with spatzle. Tender meat, rich smooth sauce and finally someone who can prepare spatzle correctly. Yea! We... More

Small, family owned restaurant with extremely tasty food and great service! Our waiter recommended some specialties and I really appreciate that. I recommend you to call them and make a reservation because they are really small and you may need to stay in line otherwise. Best part of my Portland experience!

The staff was super friendly and helpful. This is now our favorite Portland restaurant, and I plan to visit regularly.

I drove in to town from Jackson Hole, WY to visit my very special aunt for Mother's Day. I made a reservation the day before for Mother's Day Brunch. Tammy answered the phone and was so thrilled to hear that I was bringing my special aunt. She knew her name and made a fuss over me bringing her there for... More

Our family has been to Swiss Hibiscus many times. We are warmly greeted and seated promptly. This last visit was particularly memorable in that the specials were even better than on prior visits. The wine list is limited but very good. The beer menu is fun and complete. The dinner menu is full of delicious and authentic Swiss specialities. Schnitzel,... More

What a delicious meal! From the salad to the Main course...just really a treat. Our friend introduced us to Swiss Hibiscus a year ago and we tried to get a table one recent Saturday night...to no avail. The place is small, comfortable and BUSY ON WEEKENDs so call ahead for a reservation. We visited on a Tuesday night and loved... More

Being that I am of Swiss heritage, I was thrilled to find a Swiss Restaurant in Portland while on a recent vacation. I have been to Switzerland a couple of times and am very familiar with Swiss cuisine. This restaurant did not disappoint! I wrote to them ahead of my visit because it's always great to connect with people who... More

This is a fantastic little restaurant, with just six tables and two servers. Andrew did an incredible job of serving, and the food was outstanding and great tasting. I was very impressed and give this little gem my highest recommendation...

This was our second visit to Swiss Hibiscus and we went for a late Saturday lunch with our son and daughter-in-law. I started with the cole slaw, which was acceptable, but not special. However, the wiener schnitzel and goulash were outstanding, much better than the versions typically served at German restaurants in the states. Our son had the duck, which... More

Couldn't decide on a place to have lunch - so many choices in this neighborhood. Once we read the menu on the window and saw gravlax and snails, we knew that we were at the right place. Such friendliness and efficiency. Best ever gravlax. Haven't had escargo in such a long time and this was a treat. Clean but small.... More
