Weekend nights - great food, lots of noise

It is a place to eat hearty and to buy what looked like, beautiful meat, sausages and more (I so wish we had been going home. I would have tried a lot of what was in the deli case). This is a meat lovers paradise and shellfish too. It is not inexpensive since to round out a meal (with the... read more

I have given this place two chances. First shortly after it opened and again more recently. I eat meat. I like meat. But sine meat is so heavy I want something light and bright to compliment the meat dish. I went with a large group so I got to taste a lot of different things. I was completely underwhelmed by... We had dinner at Laurehurst for my husband 30th birthday and the staff was super attentive. Candles on the desserts and a pâté to take home on the house as a gift. The meat was incredible quality and our waitress very knowledgeable. She made us great suggestions. We will definitely go there again.

This restaurant is for carnivores, vegans keep moving. Had a most delicious dinner of their flank steak prepared with chanterelles and golden beets. The portion was just right. Sometimes restaurants overwhelm the plate with massive amounts of meat, but not here. You were left sated and not overly full. At our table we had the deli eggs, onion rings and... More

The Teres Major is a wonderful cut of meat and was the highlight of the meal. The Steak Frites was incredible as well. The place can get a bit loud, but overall it is a nice casual steak house, with great service.

We had a friend visiting from Southern California and she asked for a place that has great food and a great Portland vibe! Laurelhurst Market! Nestled into a great early 1900s neighborhood of Portland. Started with an amazing gin-martini paired with a charcuterie plater. Fabulous. I had the steak, cooked to perfection. Coupled with a great wine selection. Everyone raved... More

o This was my second visit and I had been so excited to return after my first that I was worried I might end up disappointed – I was not. This place serves up the best steak I’ve had and has some of the best servers I’ve had the pleasure to tip. I actually like my meat really well done,... More

Even though this was rated Portland's best steakhouse on oregonelive.com, I might have to disagree. It really is not a steakhouse in the traditional sense (in my opinion), but they do serve (and sell in their market) plenty of beef. We started off with the Charcuterie Plate as an appetizer. The meats are served in pate' form and when we... More

Great pastrami sandwich. Awesome atmosphere. Plan to go back for dinner. House cured meats and charcuterie look delicious and the service was great.

I had wanted to eat here for some time. So, when my mother and friend came to town, I gave it a shot. As mentioned, the steak selection is non traditional. We all tried a different variety: Wagu , the flank steak and the Teres Major. All we good, but the Wagu won for best flavor. This is a very... More
