Totally loved the sandwiches here. Great meats but also combined in a way that maximized their deliciousness. Only complaint was that butcher shop should have its own seating as we felt put upon as they were getting the restaurant ready for dinner.

My rib-eye was so big, I couldn't finish it. But I also didn't want to -- perhaps the steak was so fresh, it was still game-like or just not as tender as a top rib-eye shouldda been. Interestingly enough, the St. Bernard over at the next table seemed to like my left-over 1/3 of a steak more then me. Still... More

If you are looking for a good, traditional steak house that has great meat and potatoes, this is probably not the place for you. This place tries to be too hip and appeals to "foodies" as many of the other reviews have stated. That said, they do serve cuts of meat that you don't commonly see in a steak house.... More

From the Foie Gras to the pressed chicken, Mac & Cheese, even the house made mozzarella was amazing. Great service in a busy, eclectic restaurant, we absolutely loved it and recommend highly! Friends loved their steaks and French fries, really great variety.

We celebrated our daughter's college graduation with a group of ten here and were very pleased by every aspect of our meal, though it was expensive. Primarily for carnivores (and very good meat, at that!), the vegetarians in our group had a lot of interesting and delicious choice, notably the roast cauliflower. The chicken under a brick was savory and... More

We celebrated a law school graduation this past weekend, and a highlight of our trip was the meal at Laurelhurst Market. It came with the highest recommendation, and certainly lived up to its reputation. Our party had the rib eye steak, flat iron steak, chicken under a break, steak tartare and an assortment of sides. Each was mouthwatering and more... More

My wife and I went here for a date night. Never having gone here and wanting to try something different, we were pleasantly surprised. The staff was very friendly and the food was incredible. We ordered the seared scallops, which were incredible, 2 different steaks and a couple sides. The steak was cooked perfectly and the fried cauliflower was awesome.... More

I was taken here by a friend a few years ago. We had burgers. I didn't know burgers could be even half this good. I think they ground up prime rib for the meat it was so tender and *flavorful*, and it was so fresh and warm.. the toppings were superb... I inhaled it. Since, I've been back with many... More

We had an absolutely wonderful meal on a date night. Waitress was informative and helpful. Charcuterie plate was amazing. Wine was very nice. The meat was so flavorful, that it was probably one of the best steaks both my husband and I have had. We're planning a return for my birthday. The ambiance is warm, cozy and crowded, but was... This place is all about meat. If you don't eat meat, don't go here. Its a very small space, crowded with a communal feel. Absolutely no conversational privacy and noise carries. One loud, obnoxious drunk's cackling was particularly irritating. The food: 1) Bread: Comes with a ricotta and oil dip. Very good but it should be for $4. 2) Burger:... More
