Description: At the gates of the historic Laurelhurst neighborhood and just 3 minutes from downtown, Laurelhurst Market offers a uniquely Portland steakhouse experience. Drawing off our own in-house butcher shop, our seasonal menu focuses on sustainably raised meats highlighted by several cuts not common to the traditional steakhouse. Awarded one of Bon Appetit Best New Restaurants in America in 2010, we have been at the forfront of Portland's growing dining scene. We feature a full service bar with an extensive craft cocktail menu. Our convivial atmosphere is appropriate for both special occasions and families. Outdoor seating is available when Mother Nature cooperates.

The restaurant is super cute and the servers were very knowledgeable but the food was lacking. For the price ($$$$) and what I expected being that it is a butcher shop, the food was mediocre at its best. The steak was tough and lacking flavor- chain restaurants make a better steak for a fraction of the price.

This place has great potential but was greatly disappointed. Started off with the ricotta spread and was not a fan at all. I ordered the Ribeye and it was so tough and the flavor was lacking. Was not a fan at all of the smokey flavor. The Mac and Cheese was fantastic though and we also ordered the creamed kale,... More

We had a wonderful meal at Laurelhurst Market. Love the fact that they have stayed honest to the Butcher shop tradition with wonderful cuts of meat, locally sourced and great knowledge of the staff. Started out meal with the Deviled eggs and golden beets with squid ink - wonderful flavors and good use/preparation of the squid ink. The torchon was... More

My daughter was flying in after 9 on Christmas eve and my son working, so we all met up for LATE dinner at Laurelhurst market. Since it was late, we just had an assortment of appetizers and split the Harvest salad and ribeye steak. YUM!!! The staff was so accommodating. The food fab. And the place cozy. Loved it 😀

This place should be higher rated. I recently went for a work dinner and was blown away. The bartender created two custom cocktails for us that were so tasty I didn't want to finish them as quickly as I did. We tasted almost everything on the menu and were not disappointed by a thing. My favorites were: Beef tartar, pickle... More

On the advice of friends we had a couples dinner here while visiting Portland. The cocktails were excellent, the space was inventive and cool, the menu looked amazing. The food however was not as amazing as the rest of the restaurant. It was good, and I would return, but for the price I did expect slightly more than they delivered.

Pros: easy reservation process Friendly staff, hostess, servers, etc.. Efficient service, thorough, fast, lots of teamwork here Ribeye, all salads, bread ( although it cost money) Mac and cheese, polenta, flat iron and panna cotta were all really tasty Cons: loud, everyone in one room, no sound deadening materials at all, large tables are a real bother here with noise.,... First, I have to give kudos to the hostess who was super friendly and accommodating! She certainly almost made up for the waiter who looked and acted like he would rather have been anywhere else. He did, in fact, leave before we finished and turned us over to another waitress, who gave us kind of a hard time about splitting... More

I'm from Chicago and consider myself a bit of a steak snob. Walking in, i did not expect to have one of the best steaks of my life....but that's just what it was. The decor was cool, the service was great and the cocktails / craft beer selection was outstanding. I highly recommend this place and the ribeye.

Our group all Agee, great steaks and well presented. I had the ribeye and it was nicely slow smoked and aged. I expect a lot being from Texas and they delivered . Try the beet salad, wonderful.
