Business dinner

Great casual place for dinner. Great Texas style bbq. Been here twice, once on business and once with my wife and son. Very good selection of whiskey, of course and local brews. Cool atmosphere and very casual.

These folks make great drinks. The special dipping sauce that comes with the fries is worth the trip by itself! Though I didn't love the grilled romaine salad (too bitter, lumpy dressing) my friends liked their burgers and there were a few other menu items that might have been better choices. I especially liked the 49er, which was recommended by... More

We stopped in to get a hamburger. The hostess said it would be 20 to 30 minutes. That was OK. An hour and a half later we were seated at the bar. We ordered immediately. Hamburgers came out 45 minutes later. The hamburger was fine, but it couldn't take away the bitter taste of the wait. The staff ignored us... More

Enjoyed a few whiskies in this place due to the lack of a decent draught beer. Nice little interior, good service and some good finger foods. It is a little bit out of the way if you aren't in the surrounding area - wouldn't be worth making an extensive trip for. Would recommend to go if you are in the... More

We loved our meals. My husband said the roast chicken dish was one of the tastiest dinners he ever had. I am no slouch in the kitchen & this is indeed a compliment. Our waiter was so helpful. We will go back.

So we came here to have a few drinks before dinner downtown. We specifically came for the whiskey and cocktails but the food smelled and looked so amazing we had to order something while enjoying our drinks. GET the Duck Fat Fries, you'll thank me! They were heavenly. Service was truly on point and the staff were friendly and smiling.... More

My son and I ( both kitchen pro's) just went here again last nite. It is our go to place to enjoy small plates done extremely well. The Charcuterie board is superb, the oysters tiny and succulent, the lobster dumplings sweet and devine! My son loves the steak tartar and I the chocolate mousse. Oh and they serve sweet heavy... 'Dismissive & pretentious' attitude sums it up nicely. Do the math. On a street with dozens of friendly options

We went back to Branch for dining month. Gotta say this was one of the best places we tried. The salad was amazing. Great start to the dinner. We ordered the lobster and truffle pot pie. It melted in your mouth. The "crust" was like a popover, soft, warm and very eggy (is that a word) ahhhh who cares as... More

My husband and I found this restaurant on the Portland Dining Month list. The offerings looked good so we tried it. The items that we ate were not on the regular menu so when I rave about them be prepared not to see them unless you get there before PDM ends. We both started with a roasted pear and walnut... More
