Worth a Visit!

Fine restaurant with a fun decor. Everything we had was good, well prepared and quickly presented. Decor is funky but fun and the outdoor seating area looked inviting.

Cool, hipster vibe and fantastic food. Trout was amazing! Fresh and not at all "fishy." Try the light "Ned Flanders" cocktail (Aperol and white wine or prosecco?) for perfect summer drink. For dessert: the warm chocolate chip cookie, of course!! Great wait staff. Eat outside and enjoy lovely Portland evening. Make a reservation and you won't have to wait in... More

We came for the pizza social on Monday night. Our waiter was a bit dry and warmed up as thr meal progressed (I suspect to ensure a good enough tip). E had the marinated octopus which was great and pizzas. We were warned that they would take a while and that was true!!! It was worthwhile though. The dough is... More

I was very curios about Ned Ludd, hearing that they only cook with a wood fired oven, no stove anywhere in sight! Several locals recommended it if I wanted a REAL Oregon dining experience that was closer to home for the locals that are living in east Portland. So I decided to come early and eat at the bar. Brandon... More

Ned Ludd is a place whether you love or hate it. very rustic but deliciously grilled the dishes to perfection. my personal favorite: pickles, grilled flat bread and grilled whole trouts. all Kalbits are very refreshing to pair with your grilled meat and vegetable. Chef is amazingly handsome! that's made my dinner extra sweet.

I heard about this place from my sister and then the owner was on Chopped. I read a couple of reviews and decided that I had to come here. All I can say is, absolutely wonderful! On Mondays, it's Pizza Social. THeir regular menu is not available. My wife and I shared two salads and a pizza. We had pole... More

We ate outside on a summer's evening, which was lovely. But the menu was exceedingly pretentious, with appetizers called forbits and salads labeled kaltbits. The food was fresh but cooked very simply without much in the way of spicing or sauces. We would recommend the smoked hen on toast appetizer. Overall,I thought the restaurant was undeserving of Portland's vaunted food... More

booked reservation online and said it was wife's birthday. They treated us to some champagne, and the most delicious panna cotta dessert. Communal outdoor seating was delightful. wait staff was great explaining the menu and making suggestions.

This is a love-hate relationship. I am on the love side. Ok, let's start with the friendly servers, very knowledgable about the menu, prompt service whenever you need them, sincere smile even though you returned all the wine he/she suggested(not me, the lady sat at table next to me). we are party of four adults, and ordered warm olives, hen...
