Good sandwich

I was in Portland Oregon for the weekend and stopped at Bunk on recommendation from the hotel concierge. She even gave me access to a coupon which gave me a free sandwich. I took my granddaughter here. She loved the cozy atmosphere and her pulled pork sandwich. I had the grilled Nutella and jam on a whim, it was delicious. I want to go back and try some of the other offerings.

A friend turned me on to this place while I was staying in downtown Portland. Fantastic sandwich and fantastic services. I had the equivalent of an Italian sandwich with a side of potato salad. Delicious. I've heard that this downtown location is the best location. There is counter seating and it fills up quickly. You may want to get here... More

I created a list in my phone of top places to eat in Portland and Bunk kept sitting on my list and my husband and I decided to try something new and pull off of my list, so we randomly visited one day! I ended up being so sad that we had not gone to this place earlier, because the... More

Went for a late lunch, and was very pleased with the food and creativity of the menu. And they have a happy hour that starts at 3:00 PM so it is perfect for a late lunch. There are outdoor tables in front and back, and the back ones are very private which was nice. Overall, it was very pleasant from... More

When in Portland it's Bunk for a Sandwich (with capital S). This is their thing - beautifully crafted sandwiches that taste like no other sandwich elsewhere. The grilled cheese and tomato soup was perfect for an overcast northwest day. Other notables are the Cubano. The place is nothing fancy - utilitarian and pleasant. Has a full bar. But again, it's... Sandwich shops in the metro area can be pricy. Bunk Sandwiches was great. We stopped in for a late afternoon lunch and were definitely not dissapointed. The food was great, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere cozy and comfortable. I felt right at home. I had a grilled cheese sandwich with bacon added. Man, I've been waiting for a... More

I'm fairly new to the area for work and asked the new office mates where I could get a quick bite for lunch. Most everyone suggested Bunk. Apparently it's well known for their sandwiches. Ok. So away I went. To be honest. It's more of a grab and go place and so when I returned with my roast beef and... More

Tried the newest Bunk on Alberta Street. Same great sandwiches as the Morrison Street location, but more room and a nice outside patio. Can't wait until my next visit and hearing the chef yell out my name indicating my lunch is ready!
