I have been to the Davis Street Tavern several times now for brunch. It has quickly become my favorite place to bring out of town guests. The menu is always interesting and delicious, the customer service is excellent, and the prices are more than reasonable. Each time I go, I walk away more impressed with the place. More

Just off the train from Seattle, we took refuge from a Portland downpour in the first restaurant we came across. First, we showed up 10 minutes before the place opened for lunch and they happily seated us, bringing us coffee even though the kitchen wasn't yet open; second, the place was warm and comfortable -- nice booths, brick walls, great... This was about our fifth trip to this restaurant and it was another great experience. Excellent wine list and a variety of choices on the menu. Service was incredible - timed out well and very friendly. Will definitely be back. More

We chose the Davis Street Tavern this year for a holiday get-together. We had a play to attend later that evening, so we were there on a Saturday evening at relatively early time as far as dinner goes. The bar area was filled with happy hour attendees, while the dining room was still rather sparsely seated. I'll get to the... More

They are part of the Portland Big Deal package (with a $20 off coupon) so we gave em a try. We were very pleased. We went there on a Sunday evening so it was a low key atmosphere, lovely venue with massive beams and exposed brick (a tavern in name only), and the food prices were very reasonable. Next time... What do you say (about what's supposed to be a fine dining restaurant in the Pearl) when the person who represents Davis Street Tavern is dressed like a slob? The so-called host was dressed in grubby jeans that were evidently too long for him as they were torn and ragged on the bottom. And he topped those gross jeans off... More

While attending Portland, Oregon's Art in the Pearl Festival over Labor Day weekend, we brunched at the Davis Street Tavern. We started with oysters on the half shell with pickled shallot and rainbow trout roe in the mignonette sauce--piquant and luscious. Duck confit salad with baby spinach, frisee, picholine olives, pistachios and a light sherry vinaigrette kept pace, as did... More

Love to try a new resturant and this one is now on the return rotation! Food: make sure to try the scallops, velvety Mac and cheese, and deep fried garbonzo beans. All were amazing! To top it off...the hot salted chocolate chip cookies were out of this world. I dream about them and will go back just for those sweet... More

Lunch was a mix -- the Braised Chicken Farroto was really good, but my companion thought the crab bisque too salty and the mac 'n' cheese just average. The service does not improvement. More

I had spotted David Street Tavern not too far from my office and it looked promising based on some of the reviews I saw. I made Open Table reservations to take friends from out of town here as it was also near their hotel and in Old town. I guess I didn't look closely enough at the menu as there... More
