My wife recommended Habibi because she had dined there before with friends. Thinking she has pretty good taste we decided to try it on my birthday. In my opinion the food was not that great. I had the artichoke casserole which tasted like canned artichokes dropped in a bowl of tomato sauce. It was very bland, not very filling, and... More

It is nice to see there are different restaurants in Portland city center. I visited this restaurant twice and I learned "Habibi" means "lover" or "sweet heart". The food wss great. The bread was warm. I went their with my Taiwanese and Turkish friends. They were happy too. One of the chef's recommended course was great (sorry. I don't remember... More

Great food..everything we ordered was delicious, the portions were huge, and the hummus was worth the stop all by itself.

We decided to venture into a cusine that we have little experience. Lebanese! And it was delicious. We ordered cocktails and I spotted the Pometini, it did not disappoint. Pomegranite juice and lemon vodka shaken not stirred and very smooth. Our entree was a meat trio of chicken, beef and lamb nestled on a bed of flavorful rice. Portions were... More

First off, let's talk parking. Habibi is on SW Morrison in downtown Portland, so parking on the street cannot be relied upon. Habibi is just a couple blocks west of Downtown Nordstroms. There is a parking garage at 10th and SW Morrison. 10th is a one way street going North and the entrance and exit to the garage is on... More

Flavorful Lebanese food, good value. I particularly enjoyed the mezzo plate, lots of good tastes at lunch.

Service was almost too fast, but the quality of the food was very good. Great falafel, but you better eat the pita fast, since it's homemade and becomes brittle as it cools. Good value.

I love their Kabobs and rice, they come with a wonderful garlic sauce, so good. They also have great hummus, a little more expensive for lunch than I like but they are very good and the owner is a very nice man.

Food is prepared hot and fresh and the portions are fairly large. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. A very simple formula to run a successful restaurant. Only two things bothered me on this particular visit: 1. The restaurant was dark. We came for lunch, not dinner, so not sure why so many of the lights were off. 2. They were... More

Had lunch here the other day with my family. it was a rare HOT day in Portland and my kids were a little worse for the wear, but the owner and servers were just so nice. The kids ordered pretty "traditional" kid things (pasta and cheese pizza), but my husband and I had vegetarian options--I had a falafel and my... More
