Not your ordinary hotel restaurant

MUST try for breakfast!! Fresh, inventive, well designed locally sourced foods come together for a lovely dining experience. Hip environment.

We have heard a lot about Urban Farmer so when friends came to town we made a reservation for 4 and headed downtown. Reaching the restaurant early, we though we would go to the hotel bar and have a glass of wine. When it was time go to the restaurant we still had a half of glass of wine to... More

Hi JL, I'm so sorry to hear that you were disappointed in your experience here at Urban Farmer! Unfortunately our Oregon Liquor laws are such that we are unable to allow open alcoholic beverages to be consumed on our premise from any restaurant other than our own, even Departure. I hate to have any of our guests be less than... More

Great ambiance and even greater food. Service can be slow at times due to the kitchen being overloaded but the food is worth the wait. Their turkey sandwich is sublime. Seriously. No other turkey sandwich compares.

All I can say is for breakfast/brunch, try the "Trotters n Tails" eggs benedict. It may actually be the best I've ever eaten...and 2 days in a row I had to indulge. It was and still is one of my favourite places for breakfast in Portland!

We had breakfast here while we were staying in the hotel and it was filling and reasonably priced for being in a quality, downtown hotel. Dinner was what we really enjoyed. I had the halibut and my husband had the steak and started with the salad. Everything was good, although the steak was a bit plain, but he did not... More

Had some really incredible food here in Portland. Went to the Urban Farmer for our last breakfast before departing the city. Super long wait at Mother's Bistro, so had to settle on someplace available like here, the Urban Farmer. Sounded like a good place to have some eggs, bacon, and toast. No wait to get in to this restaurant. First... More
