met a very good friend for lunch, and it was perfect! The grilled romaine salad was tasty, with Gorgonzola and bacon! And their beet ravioli special was wonderful. After our lunch we shopped the darling antique shops on 13 th! Definitely will return!!

On matter when we dined here or with friends or alone, we have always been met with great service. The grilled romaine Caesar salad is great. The pastas are fresh and tasty. The lobster raviolis are fantastic. Their veal chops are huge with the best flavor.

A really delicious Italian fine dining experience. Scallops were beautiful, and definitely our favorite dish. Food was extremely fresh and well prepared.

This was our first visit here. Street parking was easy to find on a Friday night, just one block away. Our waitress suggested an excellent red wine from Siena. I had the small sized lobster ravioli which was VERY tasty. I had originally tried to order one of their specials and they were sold out of it by 7 pm... More

While the food was decent (not extraordinary but good) the experience was ruined by being too rushed. The whole atmosphere was hectic. The couple having dinner next to us felt the same way. We were there on a Saturday night, had made reservations, and ordered salads, pastas and dessert along with a glass of wine. The pastas tasted good, the... More

Been to plenty of Italian restaurant's around the Portland area. This one was mediocre at best. Service not well developed, constant bad timing interruptions when trying to eat by staff that requires you to pause conversation or wait till you stop chewing to politely answer. The bread, foccacia tonite had no taste what so ever and the olive oil seemed... More

Stayed in the Sellwood neighborhood of Portland, OR in late September, and loved walking the streets in the evenings, peering into some rather unique looking shops. There was always a nice bustle at the tables outside 'A Cena', so a friend and I made reservation for an early evening meal, and had a delightful experience. When you're dining out of... More

We shared several small dishes on a Monday evening (celebrating my birthday) and I was simply blow away by the Agnolotti (like a ravioli) stuffed with corn & Mascarpone in a butter/cream sauce and poached Maine lobster. I've never eaten something that sounded so simple yet was so sublime and complex with the blending of flavors and textures. We started... More

We went for dinner on a Friday night, and had a two-top, but the noise was so loud I couldnt hear either the server or my guest. Food is just average, despite the fact that all the pasta is house-made, much of it is cooked in butter and too rich. Service was good, but far from perfect: we had to... More

My husband and I weren't sure where to start. A couple of the many appetizers? Big plates of pasta or small? Would we need a secondi after all that food? Then our wonderful server arrived with even more choices. And focaccia and cheese sticks. Her recommendations from the wine list were knowledgeable and the wine we picked based on that... More
