Leaning toward heavier cuisine

The menu maybe part of the contrarian trend from healthier cuisine of many restaurants to menus emphasizing heavier (fats, cream, etal) dishes. I may be too old for this restaurant. It is a Friday night, 7:30 pm. As soon as I opened the door I knew this place was not for us. LOUD! Britt may be a spectacular server but she can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. When you can't talk to your table mate without yelling it does... More

It was a first date and from the outside, the place looks like any other trendy Portland restaurant. But the food was amazing! The flavors... wow. And the staff were friendly even though it was a busy night. I would go back there... with friends... not with that guy. :)

We went to this restaurant and used a gift card from our kids. It was very good and the staff went above and beyond. The food was excellent and their wine list was great. Very cozy atmosphere. If you are in the area stop in. You won't be disappointed

Amongst the best food I have eaten. We went with friends on Christmas Eve. Staffing was horrible. One bartender for the entire place, plus the bar and he had some small tables he was wait staff and busboy for. He was also responsible for the washing of the glasses. We waited nearly twenty minutes for each drink order. Our waitress... More

We stopped in here on our last night in Portland and we were very happy that we did. As it was Halloween they were serving the happy hour food all night in addition to the main menu. Pig ear, fantastic. Baked eggs, fantastic. My wife had the Apple fritters and loved them. We split the lamb neck and it was... More

This is, by far, one of the best restaurants I've eaten in. The service is professional, the food is exquisitely prepared, and the owner is actively involved. There is even Oregon-made hard cider on the menu. As parents of a trained chef, our standards are finely tuned, and this meal was a complete treat. Definitely go here.

Lincoln Restaurant is an amazing trendy restaurant with a superb atmosphere and good background music. We so much enjoyed our dinner here. We had two appetizers and shared the absolutely amazing lamb shanks. The corned lamb shanks are prepared with a mint salsa verde, mustard creme, and onion agrodolce. We had wine with dinner. For dessert, we had the creme... More

This the second time we've stayed in Lincoln, and come to Kyllo's for dinner. In fact, we made sure to stay at the same hotel so that we could walk to Kyllo's for dinner. This is the best place to come socially, and they have fantastic food too!

I'm all for adventurous eating; but when a limited menu doesn't have even one item on it where I know all the terms, that's another story. Our server was a doll and a delight, but the service was very slow and the two entres we had were just okay. Not my favorite Portland restaurant so far (in our week stay).... More
