Creative, Lively, affordable! Carmelized cauliflower with lemon creme fraiche? Spicy roasted broccoli with crunchy crumbs? Creamy white herbed beans on artisan bread? What to eat first! It was all so delicious. We shared everything including sweet romaine caesar and greens tossed with hazelnuts, humboldt fog, and currants. Followed by six huge melt-in-my-mouth meatballs cooked with greens, perfectly-prepared hangar steak, mussels... More

Hands down, best mussels ever. Tiny, tender, sweet and perfect. The fried cauliflower with the lemon aioli is not to be missed, either. The decibel level is quite acceptable, an increasingly unusual experience as far as I am concerned. And the wait staff is attentive and informative without hovering or being precious about the food. We'll be back!

Four of us tried Firehouse and everything we tried was fantastic. The meatballs were savory with a hint of Mediterranean flavor. The fried green olives were so tasty even a non-olive eater liked them. I don't like cauliflower but the fried cauliflower appetizer changed my mind. So good! The lemon cream sauce served with them was heavenly. I ordered the... More

After my August dinner experience, my husband and I have returned for a big wedding dinner served family style and New Year's Eve dinner for 3 couples. The food on all occasions has been outstanding. We still love the cocktails, the deep fried olives, the many varieties of pizza, all the entrees and the innovative desserts. On New Year's, I... More

My daughter wanted to eat here because an episode of Portlandia was filmed here. We waited for an hour because we didn't make a reservation. The staff was very friendly and the manager gave us 2 free appetizers for our patience. I enjoyed my pizza but my wife thought her spaghetti dish and dessert was so-so. Much praise for the... More

I was ready for the quaint setting of the firehouse nestled in the neighborhood, but not the ambience that hits you with the roasting chickens and brick pizza oven. We got there and took advantage of several happy hour specials so we could try several things, including wine specials. My friend thoroughly enjoyed the roasted chicken and I went for... More

I was excited to check this place out when I heard it was in an old firehouse. I had the mushroom pizza, and it was a perfect portion and delicious. The pot de creme dessert with hazelnuts and salted caramel was absolutely delicious. Sit outside - the porch is cozy and beautiful with nice greenery around and festive lights. Great... More

Be sure to make a reservation, as this place gets crowded and deservedly so. You can smell the smoke aroma outside before you enter the restored firehouse and its cozy atmosphere. The menu features an array of small plates, pizzas, and spit roasted meats. There is also a happy hour menu with really good pricing. I especially enjoyed the fresh... More

Not easy to find, but worth the search. A restored firehouse showcases vintage photos and the authentic smell of a wood-fired grill. The menu offers a tasty variety of seasonal fare and rustic food choices. Wonderful food at modest prices...and a happy hour to boot. Don't miss the pot de creme, with salted caramel and hazelnuts. Amazing!
