My wife brought me here for my birthday as I'd been wanting to try it for a while and we were more than impressed (we've now been back a few times in the last two months). Overall it was a great value, the food was really good but fairly priced, the wine list was interesting and very inexpensive (most expensive... More

I've heard about Firehouse for quite a while, but this was our first visit with 2 friends for my birthday dinner. The building, being an old firehouse has lots of character. We got prime (7:00 Saturday) reservations just a week in advance. Unfortunately the nice outdoor patio was not in operation as the weather was still marginal. Upon arrival, we... More

One of the best meals ever. Quality food. Great service. Located in an old firehouse. A fun evening with my wife. I wish I lived in Portland (rather than Texas) so I could go back and try the pizza which looked delicious. We got there right at five when they opened and were able to find a close parking place.... Thursday evening. Late dinner. Greeted warmly. Nice vibe, funky ambiance. Share plates, trout, pot De creme. Fantastic. Hanging out, enjoying life. Perfect background tunes. Loved it. Thank you Firehouse.

Firehouse Restaurant is located in a great historic Firehouse so the atmosphere is pretty cool. Very good service and drinks but the food was disappointing. The actual menu was much smaller than the one listed online and then they were out of many things so the choices were very limited. We decided to have pizza. Opinions on pizza are difficult... More

Creative, Lively, affordable! Carmelized cauliflower with lemon creme fraiche? Spicy roasted broccoli with crunchy crumbs? Creamy white herbed beans on artisan bread? What to eat first! It was all so delicious. We shared everything including sweet romaine caesar and greens tossed with hazelnuts, humboldt fog, and currants. Followed by six huge melt-in-my-mouth meatballs cooked with greens, perfectly-prepared hangar steak, mussels... More

Hands down, best mussels ever. Tiny, tender, sweet and perfect. The fried cauliflower with the lemon aioli is not to be missed, either. The decibel level is quite acceptable, an increasingly unusual experience as far as I am concerned. And the wait staff is attentive and informative without hovering or being precious about the food. We'll be back!

Four of us tried Firehouse and everything we tried was fantastic. The meatballs were savory with a hint of Mediterranean flavor. The fried green olives were so tasty even a non-olive eater liked them. I don't like cauliflower but the fried cauliflower appetizer changed my mind. So good! The lemon cream sauce served with them was heavenly. I ordered the... More

After my August dinner experience, my husband and I have returned for a big wedding dinner served family style and New Year's Eve dinner for 3 couples. The food on all occasions has been outstanding. We still love the cocktails, the deep fried olives, the many varieties of pizza, all the entrees and the innovative desserts. On New Year's, I... More
