I would not feed a dog my plate at the Firehouse. Dry, rubbery meatballs that are half filler with too much fennel so that they taste like licorice. That drowning in an oily sauce that is the weirdest marinara I have ever encountered. All that lying on a bed of over-cooked, devitalize long beans that have no flavor whatsoever. Oh... More

Very unique, authentic firehouse. good place. Nice people. Cauliflower and chili flake pizza were great. Cauliflower was a tripadvisor review recommendation. The pizza was the server's suggestion. Both were spot on. Local brews on tap. Solid recommendation.

We ate here because their very nice outdoor seating area was featured in a sketch on the Portlandia TV series of which my teenage daughter is a big fan. Mostly farm to table fare at reasonable prices. My cauliflower appetizer was a bit too salty and my chicken main was good, not great. The ambiance is very nice, as this... More

This restaurant is a little gem. It is set in an old Firehouse that has kept all of its charm. Food was delicious and service was excellent. If you are in Portland you should definitely go there.

The Firehouse did not disappoint. Small menu that changes daily, but I'm guessing it's to ensure freshness and quality of food. The reviews raved about the small plate of cauliflower so I had to try it. Everyone at the table loved it. Everyone loved their meal and even the finniest person with us gave it a thumbs up. We had... More

We've been traveling for awhile and just needed some good, basic comfort food. Firehouse fit the bill. Great small plates (beets), a super salad and perfectly cooked rotisserie chicken. Good service and fun drinks completed the evening. Great value for the money.

My husband and I were quite please with our meal. We love Italian, so we tried as many dishes as possible. Arancini, insalata romaine, pizza w/ mozzarella,& sausage, & tuna (alla Nicoise), served cool w/green beans, olives & red potato. Great summer meal. We will return,

First visit to this restaurant after reading many reviews by other members, so decided to try it myself. The location and idea for this establishment is brilliant, unfortunately the menu and service was lacking. Ordered three different pizzas and all were of the same texture and consistency. Thin, burnt and lacking in both flavor and ingredients.....unfortunate. If they could revamp... More

Shared dinner with friends from out of town and we were not disappointed with our experience at Firehouse. Overall, great food, especially the roasted corn appetizer and the chocolate dessert! The iced tea was amazing..the perfect complement to dinner.

My wife brought me here for my birthday as I'd been wanting to try it for a while and we were more than impressed (we've now been back a few times in the last two months). Overall it was a great value, the food was really good but fairly priced, the wine list was interesting and very inexpensive (most expensive... More
