Great neighborhood restaurant

This restaurant does everything right. Portions are great, prices reasonable, service is amazing. Almost everything is cooked in their wood fired oven, adding great flavor and caramelization to the food. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting a truly northwestern feel and a lot of locally source food prepared in a very creative way.

Invited to dinner with friends at the Firehouse.... service was terrible at our table of six guests.... had to ask server for bread for the table.... then charged two dollars for the bread... charged a twenty percent gratuity for poor service and were never told in advance for these charges.. ordered pizza which was terrible... it was not cooked properly... The food was good. That's where the good part ends. Service overall was terrible. We had a reservation; nevertheless, we waited 45 minutes for a table. We then waited 15 minutes for the waitress to get our drink order (and only when we got up and asked someone to send her over). She then brought some of the drinks. We... More

Loved the food at this popular neighborhood restaurant. Clean, fresh flavors, and a nicely varied menu. Loved the mussels and the meatballs. Ambiance in this old firehouse is upscale rustic - ask for a table in the front of the restaurant as there is more going on. Staff was professional but not overly friendly.

Proprietors get a lot of mileage out of the old Firehouse. Looks / acts like a mostly locals joint. Ambiance is minimal, outdoor seating arrangements are just okay, inside feels crowded. Assuming the woman walking the tables was the maitre de, her constant checking for open tables was annoying. Pizza seems to be the fave of diners. Salad was adequate,... More

We had Father's Day dinner here a few nights ago. We had a reservation but had to wait about 20 minutes for a table. The hostess was attentive and kind, but we still had to wait. Once seated we found out that two of the entrees (the two we were most interested in) were not available and one of the... More

Under-whelmed by the appetizers, we had the ricotta and salami balls and the roasted cauliflower, which needed more flavor - both of them. Entree of Salt Cod was excellent, served with pickled onions and beets. Entree of meatballs was okay. Just meatballs. No pasta or anything served with it. Hot, no AC, great service.

We visited recently with friends, had called, had reservations and were seated immediately. The food was really delicious, but we had an almost 1 hour wait for our food. No one ever explained that there was a problem, but it was an unusually lovely night and this restaurant is open to the outside, so was a pleasant wait. We started... More

We were looking forward to savoring the rotisserie chicken but at 7:45PM, the restaurant sold out. Firehouse is known for its wood-fired oven, rotisserie, and grill, we opted for the pizza with mushrooms (wood-fired oven...how can you resist) which had a think crust almost like flatbread. The orrechiette pasta dish was substituted for true cod in place of pork which... More

What a delightful place to stop for dinner. It's a real gem. My friend and I made reservations but were unfortunately 20 mins late, the gave away our table but were great about getting us another one and gave us complementary appetizers - roasted beets and roasted cauliflower were just divine. We ordered a simple margarita pizza and it was... More
