Loved the atmosphere in this place, the staff were impressive as incredibly busy and the seemed to work like a well oiled machine. We didn't get to dine on our only visit as had previously booked Andina, just up the road (see review). Would love to come back.

Pretty cool menu selection. Different stuff, but everyone in our group pretty much liked what they ordered. Cool ambiance and fun atmosphere. Worth going to.

Lot's of good beers on selection. The place is huge with a bar in front surrounded by tables for dining. The food is actually good. Many bars have great beer selections but the food doesn't measure up, but not here. Recommended if you're in Portland.

What a cool space! I don't drink beer but my daughter does & she had been wanting to check out Deschutes so we headed over on a Sunday evening after a day of sightseeing. The wait wasn't too long, good people watching & cool interior w/all the wood carvings. I had a nice Chardonnay & my daughter enjoyed tasting a... More

Okay, maybe I have changed my mind from red wine to craft beer. Tried the Bond Street Series "Hop in the Dark" expecting it to be a bitter dark beer but much to my delight, this IPA is deliciously smooth with coffee undertones. Sat at the bar because the restaurant was hopping busy with a long, long line up. Walked... More

My husband and I went to Deschutes on what must have been one of their busiest nights EVER! I believe they were celebrating their 25th or 26th anniversary on top of a Timbers home game. With that said, we slithered our way to the bar (to avoid the 2 hour table wait,) scored two barstools and proceeded to have some... More

We showed up at 7pm with 7 people in our party and we expected to have a very long wait. We were pleasantly surprised when our table was ready in about 20 minutes! We tried many different beers and ordered numerous appetizers before ordering our entrees. Our server was awesome! I wish I could remember his name! He was friendly,... More

Deschutes Brewery rates near the top of my list for breweries in Portland. I admit I'm partial to there IPA's but they also have a great menu. I ate lunch there one day (good burger) and dinner (steak and frites) on my birthday, the waitress even bought me a beer! Another advantage is the trolley stops and picks you up... More

Obviously. But as a beer lover, the limited amount of time I spent at this brewpub was more than enough to convince me. Portland has many microbreweries and the staff at this one were happy to show us where the competition was located, which to me is very special. I had the Classic Six taster, with varying beers, all brewed... More

Very cool beer pub in a converted garage. Atmosphere is great and they even brew most of the beers on site. Huge selection of brews on tap and the sampler is a great way to try out a bunch. The beer is seriously delicious, no wonder its regarded as starting the microbrewery movement. The food was also pretty good. I... More
