Description: Fusing a distinct Northwest and classic Scottish Pub feel, this Pearl...
Fusing a distinct Northwest and classic Scottish Pub feel, this Pearl District destination has become a convivial gathering spot of beer and food lovers since its 2008 opening. The brew pub's 18 taps feature Deschutes mainstays plus a selection of seasonal and experimental beers developed and brewed on site exclusively for the Portland pub by brewer Ben Kehs. Executive Chef Jill Ramseier heads the kitchen team, crafting classic pub food taken to the next level. Jill matches our brewer's passion, creating dishes from scratch with the best possible local ingredients.

Loved loved Deschutes Brewery! Not only do they have great craft beer but the brewery bar restaurant is so interesting. Very comfortable environment. Dustin was our server and was amazing! Not only did he take his time to share with us the history of the brewery and the new beers that were on tap, but he was genuinely interested in... More

My wife and I were visiting friends, and went there for a late lunch/early dinner. I had a burger topped with root beer braised pork belly - I couldn't resist an exotic dish like that. It was delicious. Their fries were very good, too. My wife sandwich and our friends' meals were good, also. The service was efficient and friendly,... More

Exceptional food and service. Not cheap but won't empty the wallet. Great selection of finely brewed beers. All located in the heart of a vibrant downtown.

Beautiful space with a wide beer selection on tap. It was super busy when we arrived, told it would be a 30 min wait. After waiting an hour we checked on the status of our table, we were immediately seated and advised they accidentally overlooked us. started with some drinks, beer nuts, and the wings. Wings were phenomenal. Then we... More

This is a good place to go to sample great beer and meet up with friends. The food, is not so special. Over salted mac n cheese, over salted burgers, over salted sweet potato fries. Why not let the customer add the salt, and maybe the food will be more enjoyable? The giant pretzel appetizer with cheese sauce IS good.... More

Deschutes has lots of craft beer on tap. The staff was very helpful in selecting local beers to try. Like other local breweries, they offer beer "flights" so you can try six 4 oz samples of beer. You can pick and choose the beers for the "flight" and their menu gives a good description. The garlic rosemary fries were great!... More

Stopped in for a few beers while in Portland for the week. There was a decent wait on a Friday night, which was expected so we hung by the bar and snagged some seats pretty quickly. We only had beer here which was delicious. Recommend the IPAs and anything barrel aged or limited production. Can't comment on the food. Service... More

After landing at the Portland airport we drive straight to Deschutes Brewery. We weren't disappointed. We had a craft brew (Hefeweizen and a pale ale) and ordered a flatbread appetizer and a delicious hamburger. The service was fantastic and the food was just what we needed after a 4 hour flight! It was the perfect Oregon welcome.

It was pretty crowded the night we were in Portland (a weeknight), but we were seated within approx. 15 minutes. Had a beer at the bar while we waited. The food menu looked great - it was difficult to choose from it - definitely better that a typical "pub food" menu.
