Description: Fusing a distinct Northwest and classic Scottish Pub feel, this Pearl District destination has become a convivial gathering spot of beer and food lovers since its 2008 opening. The brew pub's 18 taps feature Deschutes mainstays plus a selection of seasonal and experimental beers developed and brewed on site exclusively for the Portland pub by brewer Ben Kehs. Executive Chef Jill Ramseier heads the kitchen team, crafting classic pub food taken to the next level. Jill matches our brewer's passion, creating dishes from scratch with the best possible local ingredients.

This is just about the only brewery where I really like the food. My husband is a beer junkie and he loves the beers. Great atmosphere and very family friendly.

A short walk from our hotel...it's a big place and it was packed. We found seats in the bar area as someone was leaving. When we left, our table filled immediately. Our server was very helpful. We did a flight and a pint, plus an appetizer. It's a good place to go and would recommend it. For us, the crowd... More

There's nothing fancy about the Deschutes Brewery - unless of course you consider locally sourced foodstuffs, high quality meats and fantastic beer fancy. Yes, you get it - Deschutes is a fantastic place for great beer and a wide variety of gastropub food offerings. They menu never ceases to amaze me - from the fresh salads to the decent burgers... Menu that offers something for everyone? Check. Modern yet casual atmosphere? Check. Well-presented beer selection? Check. There's a reason Deschutes has been around awhile, and they even fit into the upscale neighborhood without feeling stuffy. Henry's Tavern tries, but they end up being more fancy gastropub than friendly tavern. My date, as it was, had a serious fear of heights,... More

We took relatives from Texas to lunch. They thought it was fun and yummy. Good value on samplers . Comfortable atmosphere and friendly staff! Worth the visit!

Been here lots of times. No matter what time of day or night, be prepared to wait for your table, and endure a lot of noise. But they have great food. The veggie burger is one of the best in town, and if you don't feel like beer, have the root beer, also home made.

This is a bustling place even at 4:30 on a Friday afternoon. People leaving work, families with small kids, tourists like myself. It's busy but extremely well-managed. There are tables outside on the sidewalk, and importantly the food is great, They even have an Oregon hard cider on the menu, for the gluten-free. Definitely, make the time to eat here.

during our recent trip to the Pacific Northwest was having a meal here. As one reviewer pointed out, the name likely attracted us. After all, one thing you usually get in a brew pub is good beer and good pub food. 0 for 2. Not only did we have better regional beers during our stay, we have better beers back... More

We stopped in here to have a dinner one night. The food was really great. My husband tried the plank with six different beers and he really loved that. The fries with paprika were amazing. Would for sure return to this brewery in the future.

This is a popular brewery. And I can see why. The food was really good and our guys liked the beer flights for tasting. They also have wine by the glass for people who prefer wine . I had a pizza with pear and goat cheese . Really good.
