Great beer good eats

Shared the pretzel and the blue cheese pear arugula flatbread. The beers are good and only $5 for a great local beer that's a deal. Hard to get a seat, which is understandable. Have tried to get in twice before when visiting, glad we finally did. Very happy and very good.

This is my husband's favourite place to eat and have a beer in Portland. He likes their beers and even my cranberry juice was good (they fixed it up with lime and a fancy glass to look like a cocktail!). I had the crab sandwich with yam fries and it was really delicious with lots of fresh crab. Hubby had... More

We stopped here for lunch recently. We'd been before and I was looking forward to their outstanding fish & chips, but they no longer make them. That was a bit of a disappointment, but we opted for burgers instead. The highlight is the beer menu of beers that are brewery exclusives. I had a sampler and they really had some... More

I know this is not the main brewery for Deschutes but I like their beer and it was good to come here and be able to sample a bigger range. The beer flight they offer is $9 and you get six 4 Oz samples, a perfect amount of each one to taste. The beers all stood well against the grilled... More

After doing some research online through Trip Advisor & general internet inquires we decided to try this brewery. We did a custom sampler set of 5 IPA's and 1 stout which were all fantastic. I had the turkey sandwich with bacon/ avocado & my wife had the elk burger with mushrooms/ onions (these add ons were recommended by our waitress)... More

The beer is fantastic, the bartenders are super nice and informative. The food however is bland at best. But I suppose if you drank enough, you wouldn't mind. This is strictly just a beer drinking place for us. Far better food all around.

On our last trip to Portland, OR, the first place we stopped to eat was the Deschutes Brewery restaurant, downtown. The food, drinks, and service were all exceptionally good. We were there with our son and a friend who had also taken us to the Deschutes Brewery in Bend. We would recommend both establishments to anyone who wants a good... More

Well it wasn't out of the way for us since we were staying in the NW District (business/ warehouses). The restaurant inside makes you feel like you are definitely NOT inside a working brewery. The fireplace was warm and romantic. We got the beer flight and I'm convinced that they don't know how to make a bad brew.

The beer selection is great. Fantastic burgers. I like the pub atmosphere and the menu has many selections including gluten free, which you don't find in many places like this. Friendly and efficient servers as well.

We ate here based on a recommendation from a friend and we enjoyed it. The food was good and just what we expected.
