An incredible chocolate store and cafe

Cacao is a unique, high end chocolate store. Rather than just sell their own creations they carry a variety of offerings from more than 25 of the world's top chocolate producers (including SOMA from my hometown of Toronto). The chocolates sounded fabulous and many were gorgeously packaged. They... read more

This shop carries a wide variety of interesting chocolates from purveyors all over the world. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly and enjoy talking with customers about their products. The drinking chocolate at Cacao is a rich, delicious experience. This shop should be visited by chocolate lovers young and old.

My mom and I are very big chocolate fans, but we are a bit of snobs because we have become very picky with the chocolate we eat. Of course, we had to go in when we walked by Cacao in Portland. Immediately, the staff was extremely friendly. We wanted to try the sipping chocolate, which is similar to European hot... More

Okay, let me let you in on the obvious. I love chocolate. Still, finding this source of drinking chocolate was like entering heaven on Earth. What they have is obvious: chocolate in all forms. But their drinking chocolate is better than any we tasted in Barcelona, Spain. It's got principally three options. I opt for the spicy, dark chocolate. But... More

I loved the sipping chocolate. It is a rare treat and they do a wonderful one here. They carry a lot of brands of chocolates (many local) are are quite helpful with advice with choosing.

I will say you have to do the chocolate flights at least once! But one time is all you'd need. I was thinking it'd be almost like a hot chocolate mix..nope..its pure chocolate the good stuff too! 3 shots later I left out feeling some type of way #chocolatewasted!

For the chocolate lover, one cannot top visiting Portland chocolate Temple, Cacao. Main location on SW 13th near burnside and second location at the Heathman hotel on SW BROADWAY AND SALMON. Aside from the many chocolates from around the world, the true hedonistic pleasure is ordering a DRINKING CHOCOLATE as opposed to a hot chocolate. My preference is the Rivoli... More

Such a unique experience! My daughters and I went here and got the sampler flight of drinking chocolates so we could try everything. I enjoyed them all. This place is for serious chocolate lovers with a variety of bars and gifts for everyone.

A small shop next to Blue Star Doughnuts specializing in a small variety of chocolates and espressos. It is a simple place--no vanilla syrup for lattes, no whip for hot chocolate. The quality bar is very high and the store modern and relaxed.

This place has one of the best chocolate selections I have seen. I ended up getting the shot flight which includes a regular chocolate, cinnamon infused and spicy hot chocolate. These drinks were decedent. I loved the cinnamon while my fiance loved the spicy. We also got a few truffles which were equally as good (Carmel and sea salt and... More
