Perhaps German schnitzel and Czech schnitzel are different, but I think that when most of us in the US hear 'schnitzel' we think of the plate thin, lightly breaded German dish by that name. This is not that. It's an incredibly thick chunk of pork loin or chicken that is heavily breaded and covered in sauce. It's good, but it's... More

I love eggplant! So, naturally I got the eggplant sandwich. It was a wonderful explosion of flavor in my mouth. Brilliant! A combination of familiar eggplant, spicy paprika and horseradish, with cooling sour cream and crisp Romaine. Awesome! I tried to recreate it at home, but no avail as I'm not sure what the paprika spread is actually made of.... More

What a fantastic meal! I had the chicken paprikash for lunch and was so amazed at what $8 buys. Creamy chicken dish with dumplings on the side. Very rich and so satisfying. Love, love, love this dish.

This was my 2nd truck stop. Had the goulash and dumplings, lots of dumplings. Was quite good but note no seating had to stand up using thepull down counter.

If you go here, it's obviously for the giant schnitzel sandwich. It is huge, messy and delicious. The horseradish will grab your attention. The portion will keep it. But the taste and the ingredients are all terrific and worth the reasonable price. One of Portland's best for sure.

We have tried the fried cheese and pork schnitzewich with my family to share, the portions are really generous! I like the tartar sauce which comes with the fried cheese. Service with a smile and good music playing, while you wait for your order - to be prepared fresh!!! Happy 9th anniversary Tábor and wishing you many years to come!!!!

This was incredible! Two of us shared the Chicken Schnitzel sandwich and didn't eat again that day. It is absolutely delicious and takes you back to Eastern Europe if you've ever been.

Is the signature dish a big crazy pork sandwich? Yes! Is it awesome? Yes! Quirky little places like this define a city. In an age where you can be awestruck by the "lack" of a Starbucks on a corner, pray for the Tabors of the world. It was lovely and the owners completely unaffected by their following.

I'm lucky to work two blocks from Tabor, and since I discovered it, it's been my favorite cart amongst the many excellent downtown food carts. The signature Schnitzelwich is full of awesome - I always get pork, but have been meaning to try the chicken. Also highly recommended are the Hungarian mushroom soup and spatzle.

Tabor was so delicious I had to stop by twice before my flight back to phoenix. Fresh ingredients, fast service and at a great price. I love the whole food cart experience and having delicious Czech food was such an added bonus. If you are in the area you must stop by and check these guys out- they know what... More
