Lunch in Port Orford

We stopped at "The crazy Norwegian" for lunch. He had chowder and hot bread and I had salmon on greens. The food was the best seafood I have tasted and the service was wonderful. Can't wait to go back when we move to Oregon.

We stopped at the historic Hughes House for a tour. (Great tour btw) volunteer tour ladies recommended this place unanimously for our lunch and they were right. I was going to order salad and chowder when our waitress basically just asked what size fish and chips would we like? My husband explains to her how difficult it is to get... More

Stopped at the Crazy Norwegian for lunch. Wife had fish and chips, and I had fried oysters. Everything was delicious. Homemade cole slaw as well as homemade sauces were very tasty, We live 25 miles away, and from now on we are coming here for seafood. Met the owner Dee, and she and her staff were all super friendly and... More

You feel very welcome here. The staff is very hospital. The owner is a doll. We had fish and chips and they were excellent. Not greasey or over battered. The french fries were hot, tastey and not greasey or over cooked. The portions were very very generous-one regular order was more than enough for the 2 of us.

All we had was a milkshake and they were great. Can't say what the food is like. Very small with a casual atmosphere.

The Crazy Norwegian does indeed have fabulous seafood, as others have suggested. The fish and chips were delicious, and my husband and I enjoyed the combination plate. I recommend that you share a meal with your companion. Seeing other reviews, we timed it so we arrived shortly after they opened at 11:30 AM and immediately were seated. The pace is... More

EVERYTHING was amazing and so was the service. The only drawback was the wait for a table which seems to run about 30 minutes. The coconut shrimp was amazing and so were the desserts which are all made there. Worth a trip just for this.

Just like clam chowder, on a coast over 300 miles long, there's lots of competition for fish and chips! And this one is so good it puts quaint Port Orford on the map! Plus homemade fries and tartar sauce - yum! Not only that but if that's not your liking, they have huge fabulous hamburgers on fresh ciabatta rolls! Next... More

Thank you to another RVer...we would not have stopped here! The fish and chips are awesome! The portions are very big...I ordered in the mini fish and chips and it was more than enough food. And the prices are very inexpensive.
