Classic Bar - Cafe from the 1880's

Food was good, with classic American selections. Old West atmosphere, with lots of wood, old wood bar. I had the roast beef, which was just like my grandmother used to make, and it was a huge portion, so left overs. Their salad was also quite good. Husband had chili burger, which he enjoyed. The owners and workers are super nice. We have been going there for years as our team plays in the tourny often. We have a blast there and the food is good! Bring the whole family or belly up to the bar!

Historic (read the menu back), iconic, real American cafe. The menu board was classic, the food was real, delicious, and my idea of a totally indulgent breakfast, even though I had it for late lunch. Senior portion was great but somehow i got involved with a Buttermilk Biscuit and Sausage Gravy.........to my delight.

Service was fast, food was good, but the bread for my blt was so hard that it cut the roof of my mouth and was hard to chew. Lots of history in this spot though.

Old-style cafe and bar--great food, well prepared, great value. Take your time and enjoy it. Clearly a local favorite.

The Rainbow was described to me as a place where every strata of Pendleton 'society' goes. It's clean, the liquor plentiful, and lots of photos on the walls, including my Mother right above the cash register. Don't miss it!

We are passing through Pendleton on our way to Arizona from Washington State. The hotel desk clerk recommended 2 places in town to eat and we chose the Rainbow Cafe. They serve fried (broasted) chicken. The atmosphere is pub-like. The customers are all friendly, like they know you. Since Rainbow is a local hang-out I'm pretty sure they know each... More

Had their fish and chips for dinner and it was "OH So Good" The fries (chips) are very good. The place seems to be a place of the locals. We sat near the kitchen which appeared to be very clean. The waiter/cook was great and had a couple of fun stories to tell making the experience very enjoyable.

When I have company in town, I like to take them to The Rainbow for breakfast. The Rainbow serves very delicious, generous helpings of breakfast joy! I think their bacon is the best in town! Fun atmosphere and super service!
