Great local spot for locals and visitors

Ate here when I was in town visiting about a year ago and now that I live in Pendleton I stop in at least a couple of times a month. The look is authentic Irish/Western (Leprechauns and Cowboys), the staff friendly and the price affordable. Try the chicken; it's made to order and worth the wait.

How Toby Keith describes the bar in his song "I love this bar" is the Rainbow! The Rainbow is a historical bar in Pendleton and has not changed in the 25 years I've been coming here. (I'm a hometown girl ) The fried chicken and burgers rock! (They use local meat [Hill meat]) And the best part is you will... More

I love the Rainbow. You can see lawyers in suits eating next to a cowboy with spurs on. It is oldest brick building in Pendleton and has set the standard for fun and good, honest food since 1883. Weekends are packed and during events like Round Up , St. Patrick's Day and Pendleton Bike Week it is tough to get... More

This was a very unique place to have lunch. My sister and I stopped there on our way home to WA. We saw the reviews so we figured we'd give it a try. The actual restaurant was small, but had fun decor. The service was fine, but they seemed to cater to the older crowd at lunch time. My sister... More

Breakfast was fine. Service was pour. Needed water. Could have been cleaner. I do not mind old, but I like clean.

The female bartender was really nice (sorry I forgot her name) and the chicken was great. Fun and informative.

What a great little OLD spot downtown. Decent food, good service. Funky old bar, cool vibe. We just had breakfast, no drinks, but they looked good.

This restaurant is in a building that has seen continuous use for 128 years. The food was good and the ambiance interesting and historical

Going to the Rainbow Café is a cultural experience - there are a lot of regular "locals" in the café/bar, and LOTS of rodeo memorabilia on the walls and in the air! It is definitely worth the time and effort to see this local piece of history. I was dining in a group of six - everyone ordered the same... More
