I liked the sourdough-whole wheat blend bread so much I bought a loaf to take home. Excellent service and superb gluten free scones (the family celiac did not get sick despite the obvious threat of cross contamination and that is saying something. She gets rashy feeding our chickens their grain). Would definitely return.

A delightful place for hearty breakfasts and delicious home baked scones, breads, and sweet roles. Every egg dish is a winner--- especially the hangtown fry.

Stopped by for lunch when visiting the northern Oregon coast on a day trip from Portland. Found a welcoming, down-home environment, ordered a simple sandwich (on delicious whole grain bread) and salad lunch from a very friendly and attentive waitress. Clearly, this is a favorite place with the locals, and I can see why...folks are treated nicely, served promptly, and... More

We were part of a 17 person post wedding day brunch group, so it took awhile to get a table together, but they accommodated us nicely. Since I had already eaten some that morning, I only had one of their wonderful scones. Mine was white chocolate and blueberries, and was quite good. My wife, a scone fan, really liked mine... More

We really enjoyed our breakfast here. Popular spot with the locals. Super friendly service and good food. If I remember right, if you like eggs, you better like them scrambled, because I think that's the only way they serve them. ;-) If I ever get the chance to return to Cape Kiwanda, I will certainly eat there again.

We were staying in nearby Neskowin and enjoyed lunch at Grateful Bread on a Friday afternoon. The service was excellent as was our meal. We each enjoyed a different menu item and declared them to all be delicious. The bread accompanying the salads was superb. I went back the next day to purchase a baguette for our evening meal. In... We ate at Grateful Bread twice during our short stay in Pacific City. The food is very good, served with remarkable bread. On our way out we purchased a couple of scones for the road. I just finished the most flavorful, moist scone of my life! I had a marionberry scone, but I'm sure the rest are just as amazing...full... More

I ate here with my family for lunch on a July Monday. It was surprisingly busy when we first passed it at 11.30, but by the time we returned to eat at 1.30 pm it was fine and we were seated quickly. The actual time we waited for food was longer than I am accustomed to, but when we got... More

What a wonderful surprise. We stopped by when in town riding horses on the beach. They were actually closing and saw us pull into the driveway. A women came out and told us if we were interested she would let us in to see what she had left. Well I'll tell you we lucked out because those were the best... More

In coastal communities there seems to be an boatload of mediocre restaurants. Silly or mediocre service, so so meals, and all at full freight prices. Grateful Bread offers fresh meals made from scratch with skilled and friendly service. They offer breakfast and lunch 7:00-3:00 and are closed Wednesday. The grilled cod is fresh, not greasy, and served on a home... More
