Great Brews, Scenery and Fun

What can I say? Perfect location, right on the beach with a perfect view of Cape Kiwanda and the iconic Haystack rock. Excellent, award winning brews from blondes to stouts, decent service and did I mention the view? The food is not bad, but a little pricey. Nevertheless, it is the only place... read more

I visit here every time I go to Pacific City. I order beer, fries and sit on their outdoor patio and watch the ocean and sunset. There food is good albeit over priced. We also will buy bottles of beer and go sit on the beach.

We stopped here at Cape Kiwanda and had no idea how fun this area would be. We were starved and knew we wanted to eat at Pelican Pub. Wait was 45 min and they have a great text system so you can wonder and get a text when table is ready. While waiting my son and husband climbed the very... More

Wow! This place is great. Your literally on the beach. The margarita flatbread combined with the Pelican Ale was all I needed to be a happy camper. You can sit inside which is snazzy and rustic but get outside on that cozy deck with the ocean breeze to take in the views of Haystack Rock and people watch. Very HIP... More

In my mad dash to escape the heat in the beautiful Willamette valley I just went west. My plan was to tent camp much further down the coast, but alas this was not to be. As many of my valley brethren were also thinking similar thoughts. My reward for my campsite search was happening across this jewel of a spot.... More

Nice dining experience right on the waters in front of haystack rock. They take reservations and are right across from where we were staying at the Inn at Cape Kiwanda

So, this was the first time we had an appetizer that was literally inedible, hence the four star review. They were also out of several items and brews on the menu. But, overall the chowder and salads always make up for everything because they are the best on the coast, hands-down.

We we have never been disappointed with the food or service. The beer is so good we do purchase it at the store at home too. We had the tri tip very good lots of sauce and blue cheese and the fish tacos were very good too. They were out of the Kiwanda cream ale, that kind of blew. We... More

We ate here with a group of eight. We were told earlier in the day we didn't need reservations but when we got there they told us it was going to be over an hour to accommodate our party. Our party ended up sitting in separate parties instead. So disappointing. The food was just ok. Their "famous" fish and chips... More
