This was so enjoyable a place to eat and have a brew that we visited Pacific City twice in two weeks to enjoy the views of Haystack Rock, feast and, have a brew at the Pelican Pub and Brewery. Anytime we are visiting my brides home town an hour East of Pacific City I plan on a visit to the... More

If this place was anyplace else, it wouldn't draw near the crowds. But it is and it does. Beautiful beach, mediocre fish and chips for too much money. Small portions, too. You can do better...

Third time coming here and same experience. If you put a RAM brewery here, it'd do just as well, if not better because the entrees are half the price and better. Nothing special here except it's the only brewery/restaurant next to the most popular beach in the tiny town of Pacific City. The vibe is cookie-cutter, nothing really unique. Almost... More

I love fish n' chips, so my test of a new seafood restaurant on the coast is to try it first. The Alaska cod was tasty and the pieces were good size. They use a light beer batter which does not overwhelm the fish. The french fries were wonderful...they have a coating on them which gives them a wonderful flavor.... More

Overall, we give the experience (service and food) a solid A. The servers were very friendly and knowledgable about the menu. We had the following menu items and corresponding ranking: Hazelnut crusted Rockfish: A+ and A (the tomato marmalade is delicious) Salmon: B+ Clam Chowder: A+ (as good as grandma's homemade chowder!) Pesto Chicken: A+ House Salad: A Blackened Salmon... More

Pelican Pub is really the only good restaurant in Cape Kiwanda. Right on the beach, very good service, and a good selection of fresh fish. Jammed in the summer, so expect to wait for a table -- an hour or so for evening dining.

My uncle has a beach house in Pacific City meaning I have had the pleasure to come to the Pelican Pub many times. Each time has surpassed the previous. One of my favorite aspects of this restaurant is the view of Haystack rock from the back dining room, it is especially beautiful if you go at sunset. The food is... More
