Quaint little diner in Pacific City

Fat Freddy's offers a modest atmosphere and standard diner fare. We had burgers and a BLT. The quality of the food was average. The prices were fairly inexpensive. The burgers were modestly warm and the fries were cold. The service was friendly but quite slow.

My son and I each ordered the burger with fries and a milkshake. We were very satisfied with the taste and fresh ingredients! It is always a pleasure to be able to get fast food that is delicious and not from a chain! It filled us up nicely after our wonderful beach ride! We also enjoyed the down home decor... More

We ordered the special Fish & Chips and was disappointed. The fish itself looked great but the beer batter and oil it was cooked in was not good. The oil had a rancid taste and oily. Probably needs to change oil out. The chowder was disappointing not very good. Probably came out of can. The service was slow and odd.... More

Great burger, I like mushroom Swiss burgers, and they use real Swiss and fresh mushrooms. My GF had a cheeseburger and milkshake that was super thick and good. They even have a deck of cards at each table, so we got a couple quick card games in before our food came. Don't get the negative reviews, lighten up, this is... More

After briefly being taken over by a young couple who served burnt fries and very mediocre food, I am happy to report that the old owners are back with the restaurant. I hope they are able to overcome the bad reputation garnered in the past couple of years. Solid burgers, great chicken sandwich, fries AND milkshakes! Oh those milkshakes! Give... More

We have lived in the area for the passed 6 years and have been wanting to try this place. But, most of the time we were in town they were not opened. So the day we were in town and they were opened we stopped in. We were the only ones in the diner. But, first let me tell you... More

Fat Freddy's has classic beach fare at reasonable prices. Order your food to go and head for the beach or enjoy the 50's style diner across from the Pacific City airport. The menu and atmosphere are family friendly. The Burgers, fish tacos and fish and chips are special-fresh, hot and cooked to order. The owners use high quality ingredients and... More

This place served us the worst meal of our vacation. My "chef's salad" ($8.95) was bagged lettuce with 2 pcs of cut up ham lunch meat and some see-through chicken slices. The dressing was okay. Husband did not say one word about his gross-looking hamburger. Hard to pay $25 for a lunch like this.
