We went there for dinner before the opening of GOOD PEOPLE at Clackamas Repertory Theatre and were very pleased. We both had salads. One was a steak salad that was perfectly prepared with medium rare steak. The other salad was sauteed shrimp and strawberry on spinach. Everything was great. We also had tea and house white chardonnay that was both... More

Stone Cliff is the epitome of a classic Northwest dining experience. Locally sourced meats, fish and produce leave the customers happy and satisfied. The outdoor seating comes with a spectacular view of tall conifers, eagles and the Clackamas river. This place is a gem and we feel very fortunate to have its location so nearby.

Second time here and both times had a good experience. Food was good, great view of the river, and enjoyed exploring the grounds with all of the amazing boulders.

Usually have good meals here, tonight was rough. New York was a "D", and D doesn't stand for Delicious. Ask cooked medium, done like leather. Too much gristle for high end steak. Salads were good. Sat outside, most places work harder to keep the flies down, we were attacked. Employees great, but we came here for a great meal and... More

I would not normally rave about meatloaf, but SCI has the best ever made. It's amazing - wrapped in bacon and smothered in sensational gravy too. Get the garlic mashed potatoes as the side and you'll have one heck of a meal. On top of that the scenery of the Clackamas River and the ambience of a classic cabin will... More

Above the Clackamas. River and a fabulous view. Food was good too. I had an appetizer and salad and still had to take a box home. Was an enjoyable experience.

This is not my first visit to Stone Cliff and probably won't be my last. I find it is well worth the experience. Some reviews have said the bugs were bad the service was slow and the food was cold. If you eat outside above the beautiful Clackamas River, one couldn't expect much less, but they also have indoor dinning.... More

Great view of the river from the outside deck or window table on the inside. Friendly staff attentive to your needs. Halibut was most tasty, could have been a little bigger.

The stone cliff inn is a restaurant that looks like a beautiful log cabin and kind of sits back off the road on a hill.. The scenery is so amazing. Just breath taking and beautiful. We were on a twilight tour, and couldn't believe the scene were filmed right off the parking lot. It is a great place to hike... More

Personally, I had dropped this place from consideration but it was selected by the other party for a business lunch. From initially above average when they first opened to poor for my last two visits, I just don't like inconsistency in a pricey (I think) restaurant. This visit was for late lunch -the food and the service was above average.... More
