Oceanside is kind of a favorite spot for us. We hadn't been there for a few years and had no idea where to eat lunch. We popped into Brewin in the Wind and had a nice lunch with high quality fish & chips, clam fritters and delicious clam chowder. We enjoyed ourselves and the food. I wish that I had... More

We heard this place had a great breakfast and six of us stopped in for dinner the other night. It took an hour between ordering and the time we received our food and they was hardly anyone in the restaurant. No one could even give us a reasonable explanation. None of us would ever eat in this restaurant again,

Was the only place open in Oceanside when we were there. Good filling breakfast, prices weren't cheap, but not terrible. Food good, typical Denny's type breakfast. Not so special that I went back though.

Have to say we went, 4 of us, to Brewin in the Wind the same morning as trekdave and got the complete opposite of service & food. It was a young man that served us and, although the place was fairly busy, he was very attentive & the breakfast was great! I would recommend! Coffee is very good!

I have never had service so bad... My wife and I stopped by here after a walk on the beach. We have gone here several times, stopping in for a coffee drink or something cold. They also serve food with tables to the left as you walk in. Today we were there at 11:30am and wanted a lunch. We stood... More

We stopped at Brewin' in the Wind just before they closed for their two days a week (Tuesday and Wednesday) that they are off. They had just changed their hours to close at 2:00, and we arrived at 2:05. The kitchen was already closed, but the barista still served us delicious cappucinos and a wonderful apple-maple cake. We did see... More

For lunch, Try out the clam chowder soup, the best I've had anywhere. Great atmosphere with views of the waves on the beach below the restaurant. For mornings, with your coffee, try the maple-iced coffee cake. Even non-Canadians love it.

This was right underneath our lodging at Threearchinn...although we had heard from locals to go to the "Grateful Bread" about 35minutes away...this place was just as awesome! Quiet, friendly and GOOD! We also had dungeoness Benedict. Yay.

My wife and I ate here for the first time and the food was delicious. I ordered the prime rib and it was cooked to perfection, my wife ordered the fish tacos and she loved them. Next time we are in oceanside we will definitely eat there again!

When first opened this restaurant moved from a much smaller location and expanded its menu. Too bad the expansion of the menu and seating and likely the rent on the building is now translated to reduced quality and increased prices. They are apparently depending on their location to support the prices as the food does not.
