Nice dinner house with a beautiful view

We recently re- visited this nice dinner house overlooking Coos Bay. The views are spectacular, watching the bay and it's many activities and wildlife. A nice dinner house for seafood, although my spouse was not convinced it was fresh local, I thought it was quite good. The bread is terrific.

I had a steak that simply melted in my mouth. The service was awesome and the atmosphere amazing. It was quiet, the food excellent, and it all comes with a view of the bay(free).. You definitely get what you pay for at the Hilltop.

Still the best steak in town, bar none, but only if you can afford it. By local standards, prices in this establishment are juicier than the steak. We have been very frequent customers dropping to frequent and then to occasional and I suspect we will be seen there even less in the future. It used to be almost a neighborhood... More

My wife and I have been going to this restaurant for years but the last meal we had there was most excellent. She had scallops for the first time there and I had fried calamari that was the best I had ever eaten. The view, as always, is gorgeous, and on a previous visit we watched an osprey bringing food... This restaurant overlooks the Bay at North Bend, flowing to the Pacific Ocean and also the beginning of the Oregon Sand Dunes, which are spectacular! It's open daily from 4PM-10PM. The food was well prepared and delicious. We had the salmon that was beautifully done (not overcooked, as is common). The environment is relaxing and guests may take their time... More

Party of 4 on Friday night. Ask for a window seat. We watched the sunset while enjoying our appetizer of calamari. I now have a favorite place for calamari! I had the New England clam chowder, charbroiled tiger prawns, baked potato and a nice Sauvignon Blanc. All were fabulous. The plate presentation was gorgeous! All four dinners were raved about... Still the best place in town for a grilled steak but the steak is smaller and a lot more expensive than it used to be (what isn't, I guess). Drinks are right up there, too, and they no longer put shrimp on the salads. What used to be a favorite watering hole has become a place to go when we... More

This is our go to for great food and good drinks. Whether sitting at the bar and enjoying awesome appetizers or in the restaurant with a beautiful view of the bay, you can't go wrong.

Just went here for a light dinner in the lounge. The food was excellent. Had the Top Sirloin French Dip, and a salad. One of the tenderest, tastiest french dips I have ever had. Service was excellent as well.

If you have not eaten here you are missing out on a wonderful delight. For your first trip go for an early dinner, the view is wonderful. My family has been here on multiple occasions and we have never ordered anything we did not enjoy. It is casual dining with upscale quality.
