Unique, Creative and Fun! A Nye Beach Original!

Cafe Mundo is a truly unique restaurant, one of our absolute favorites on the Oregon Coast. It is surrounded by a high, wooden picket fence, so you can't see it very well from the street. Had a lovely dinner-/ we have a vegetarian/vegan member, and a fish and meat eating member -- sometimes eating out is difficult -/ especially on vacation. Cafe Mundo had great options !! Delicious home made with local products, highly recommend this casual eclectic Resturant!😊

The food here is really great, if but a touch expensive. Our waiter was really friendly and funny, too, which is a huge plus. The atmosphere is really quirky and cool (ex a hung picture of a picture of a picture of a window). One last thing: they make their own coffee and it is really, really great; definitely get... More

Found this by chance- booked a table and there was live music playing which was a cool atmosphere. Service was slow. Mostly the food was good- tuna burger/ sandwich was really good. The beef hamburger wasn't good at all- but the bento bowl- chicken was delicious and also the blackberry crisp was a great desert. Would go back again- don't... More

This is a terribly fun place -- right out of the Sixties! If you like the idea of stepping back in time -- funky artwork, funky music, and a sort of "Coffee House" atmosphere, this is the place! Wines are basic, but okay, The food selection is almost all sandwiches and appetizers -- more like lunch than dinner -- but... More

Great, fun atmosphere, wonderful food and drink values, live music. Servers are pros with a smile - and most have been with Mundo long term. We've been Mundo fans for years and always catch a Saturday night there every one of our 5 trips annual trips to Newport. Can't beat the fresh tuna sandwich, fish tacos, draft beers and blues!... They have a eclectic assortment of food, art and drinks. They always have live music on the weekend and the Brie plate is delicious, as well as the tune burgers. They are closed Monday and Tuesday I believe which is frustrating when you want to eat there for lunch.

Hidden back from the road through tall shrubs, this is no ordinary restaurant. You can eat outdoors or within the refurbished 2-story house. I went for lunch with a local who had heard the food was good. It was before noon, so we had great service at first. They got busier and had trouble keeping up with beverage refills so... More

This was the only place we ate last trip as we are vegan and pescatarian/vegetarian. We enjoyed tempeh sandwich, fish tacos and a roasted veggie bowl. All were delicious. Servings are average, the salads were very fresh with great dressings. This is an extremely casual, funky-coastal, friendly place that is reminiscent of late 70's natural foods restaurants. Live music, friendly... More

Open late. Fun environment with live music that we actually liked. Food was amazing. The seared tuna was perfection. I appreciate the vegan/vegetarian options. I'm really glad we found this place.
