We have enjoyed the fine cuisine here for years. Kam is a top-notch chef and the food is always good and portions generous. That being said, we love Huiya but sometimes she can be a nit much. When you're having lunch to socialize with friends and family, she uses the audience to preform for and constantly interrupts our meal with... More

This place is a tiny miracle in Newport. We are vegans and were thrilled that there were so many choices for us. We enjoyed the eggplant hot pot...great mix of flavors; the tofu chow fun was a little bland but NOT at all greasy. Best was the green bean and tofu dish in a black bean sauce. Be sure to... More

We have been in America for a month and have struggled to find good, home made food that is not full of fat or grease. This was amazing! The kids ordered soup to start and OMG it was about a litre, so unless you are starving,,,,,,we had a main course each and just could not eat it all. The owner... More

The excellent food is only part of the reason we enjoyed Kam Meng so much. The owner, her story, and her talent made our dinner an unforgettable experience. She composes music and performs her songs on the piano in the dining room. Her music comes from her heart and is based on her life experiences from being a child in... More

went 2 times in the last 2 months. The General Tso chicken wasn't crispy or tasty, neither was the sweet and sour chicken - wasted calories

We are locals and enjoy the food, understand the owner's interest in art and music but we shouldn't have it thrown in our face all the time. We went a few days ago and instead of a menu on the table, there's a laminated life story about the owner. Her paintings and even t-shirts with her artwork abound. She points... More

Great food, beautiful music, friendly staff. The owner plays her own compositions on the piano from time to time. The food is reasonable and very good. The seafood is fresh. They accommodate special diets.

We love Kam Meng! Their food is some of the best in town, and we make sure to drop by regularly. I was so happy when they moved to their new location a few years back. It's north of town a ways, but the parking lot is huge, and the location is conveniently located
