Good fresh Chinese food. Nice selection. We found the co-owner with her music entertaining. Her story of becoming a musician is on a laminated sheet at each table. I'd go back.

Amazing Food! I love the beef w vegetables over noodles-yummy and consistent and they will make it how you like it(such as no mushrooms, no added salt) I love that they use 'real' vegetables in this and not canned Chinese veggies like watercress(yuck), celery(yuck) and baby corn(meh). They use broccoli, zucchini, carrots and other fresh items in a light delicate... More

Our stop for dinner at Kam Meng was enjoyable and quiet. The teriyaki chicken with broccoli was delicious, though the fried rice was a bit dry and bland. We ordered a large steamed rice and it came out to be about 4 cups of rice! I felt terrible wasting the food, regardless of the low cost.

My husband had a special seafood clay pot - there was everything you can think of out of the sea, super fresh, amazingly seasoned, super hot and just like it says the clay pot always stays hot, after finishing eating the clay pot was still hot:) I had the platters with bbq pork, general tso chicken and pork fried rice and it... It's difficult to travel when one has to deal with food allergies of any type so Kam Meng in Newport, Oregon was a wonderful find. The owners have a son with multiple allergies so truly understand their customers' requests. The wife as the server, mingles with each person and is very helpful in choosing items from the vast array presented... More

We have enjoyed the fine cuisine here for years. Kam is a top-notch chef and the food is always good and portions generous. That being said, we love Huiya but sometimes she can be a nit much. When you're having lunch to socialize with friends and family, she uses the audience to preform for and constantly interrupts our meal with... More

This place is a tiny miracle in Newport. We are vegans and were thrilled that there were so many choices for us. We enjoyed the eggplant hot pot...great mix of flavors; the tofu chow fun was a little bland but NOT at all greasy. Best was the green bean and tofu dish in a black bean sauce. Be sure to... More

We have been in America for a month and have struggled to find good, home made food that is not full of fat or grease. This was amazing! The kids ordered soup to start and OMG it was about a litre, so unless you are starving,,,,,,we had a main course each and just could not eat it all. The owner... More
