Good herbs and spices in the spaghetti made it an exceptional dish. Meatballs and sausage were hand made and hand seasoned, the sausage with a bit of fennel seed. Intriguing flavors kept it from being ordinary or predictable. Poached pears for dessert, wonderful finish. May have to go again very soon. The chef came out to check on us and... More

We went early (5:30) were seated and given water and gave our order. There were 2 other customers in the place. It took 30 minutes for our salads, which were acceptable but not special. The bread was the worst I've ever had...cold, a hard cheese layer on stale bread of undetermined vintage. Not even butter helped this mess. The server did... More

My family was staying in Newport and our last night we couldn't decide what we wanted.. Happened upon this place! It's almost one of those places you wouldn't know was there if you didn't walk by. Kinda hidden. We ordered take out and couldn't of been more impressed! We got baked ziti, manicotti and kids spaghetti. All perfectly cooked! Salad... More

We've been to this quaint little restaurant/book store for a few years in a row now. The food itself is actually very good with homemade spaghetti sauce that is wonderful. Unfortunately both times we had to wait 3-4 hours to eat (and that's after we were seated). When the food finally did come it was cold. I understand with the... More

Don't let the outside or the neighborhood make you pass up this dining experience. If you don't mind eating in an old bookstore, with plastic table cloths and mismatched furniture, you will get a very good meal. Our server, Chelsey, was delightful and efficient. I had linguini with clams, and everything was cooked perfectly. The salad was fresh and the... More

YEAH! Wonderfully prepared. The italian chef/owner knows what she is doing. Try her pesto, olive, pepperocini sauce. To die for! The staff was so accomadating and nice. Yes, it takes longer than fast food. It's worth it! My friend said the homemade potpie was incredible.

Setting is cramped, run down looking. Ok - I can go with some antique charm for a nice dining experience. Waited 15 minutes for water. The wait person (who I believe was the cooks helper and not really wait staff) explained they were short handed. Beer list? One kind "it's off-season"??? Ordered. Waited 15 min for salads (in which time... More

GREAT Italian food is not cheap, easy or quick to make! But this beautiful place is still affordable. We had stuffed mushrooms and meatballs for an appetizer. We enjoyed our salads and garlic flatbread. And then we had linguini with alfredo sauce and hot Italian sausage and the cannelloni....... Both were excellent! We would definitely go back. Enjoyed a very... More

Was recommended by the hotel to eat here and it was superb! Excellent service, great surroundings (surrounded by books!). Pasta was to die for as was the garlic bread. A slice of each desert was brought out on a tray for you to look at and then choose - so much better than looking at a menu! Can't fault it.... More

Nice surprise to find such good Italian on the Oregon coast. Had the Baked manicotti with meatballs. Wish I had been in Newport longer so I could have visited again. More wine choices would have rated 5 stars.
