A local recommended Local Ocean to us. How could we pass on getting super fresh seafood while in a port city? We weren't disappointed. We started with the calamari app. It had fire grilled calamari tubes that were cooked nicely on a salad of mandarin, pickled poblano peppers, oyster mushrooms, onions and feta. An explosion of flavor. Delicious. I had... More

Fabulous fresh local seafood, a few feet from the bay. Amazing oysters, incredible seafood stew, great Oregon wines. You gotta go there

Right on the water, you can see the fishing boats and the harbor. Sat upstairs for an afternoon lunch. Had the special of the day, could not have been better or fresher. Light and airy dining room, and excellent service. Hope to be back very soon.

Absolutely, do NOT miss stopping at this restaurant when you are in Newport. They serve the FRESHEST of seafood and a killer "Roasted Garlic And Crab Soup" served with a slice of rustic sourdough bread. The restaurant is located across the street from the harbor where you can take a lovely stroll after your tasty meal.

We came for lunch while driving through Newport. Started off with the grilled calamari. It was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. The compliment of fennel and feta cheese as unique and savory. I got the dungeons crab poboy, it was so tasty and fresh. But a warning! For $16.00 the portion was small, I mean really small, thankfully the calamari... More

Bought some lingcod to take back to condo. It was probably caught that day because it was really fresh. A few days later we came back for some of the pink shrimp (which they process on premisis) and a Dungeness crab. Equally gresh and delicious

After being seated and enjoying our wine we were disappointed to hear that (at 7:00!) they were already out of fresh crab. The waiter gave us a story about how difficult they were to find, even thought the restaurant we ate at the night before had a tank full of them. Speaking of the waiter, he was very friendly. In... The food here is always great. Expect a wait, but it is worth it. During this visit I had the oysters, roasted garlic and crab soup, and the fish tacos. It was all great. The oysters are small and sweet. The cucumber and chili relish served with them is fabulous. The soup is truly wonderful. The flavor combination of the... More

The place was hopping and we had our dogs so we grabbed take out, which we ate on the boardwalk across the street. The restaurant has a real presence with tables out on the sidewalk and a constant flow of people in and out. I had a really tasty crab po' boy and my wife a delicious tuna wrap. We... More

You have to order the fish and chips - so delicious! I was so happy to read all the great reviews and go here because the food was very good. It was busy but I only had to wait 5 minutes for a seat. Lovely view of Newport and the location of the restaurant could not be better since it... More
