Bought some lingcod to take back to condo. It was probably caught that day because it was really fresh. A few days later we came back for some of the pink shrimp (which they process on premisis) and a Dungeness crab. Equally gresh and delicious

After being seated and enjoying our wine we were disappointed to hear that (at 7:00!) they were already out of fresh crab. The waiter gave us a story about how difficult they were to find, even thought the restaurant we ate at the night before had a tank full of them. Speaking of the waiter, he was very friendly. In... The food here is always great. Expect a wait, but it is worth it. During this visit I had the oysters, roasted garlic and crab soup, and the fish tacos. It was all great. The oysters are small and sweet. The cucumber and chili relish served with them is fabulous. The soup is truly wonderful. The flavor combination of the... More

The place was hopping and we had our dogs so we grabbed take out, which we ate on the boardwalk across the street. The restaurant has a real presence with tables out on the sidewalk and a constant flow of people in and out. I had a really tasty crab po' boy and my wife a delicious tuna wrap. We... More

You have to order the fish and chips - so delicious! I was so happy to read all the great reviews and go here because the food was very good. It was busy but I only had to wait 5 minutes for a seat. Lovely view of Newport and the location of the restaurant could not be better since it... More

Was listed very high on TripAdvisor and I love seafood so I stopped in for dinner and was impressed. All 6 dishes along with the 2 bottles wine were 9's or 10's. This is one of the top 5 restaurants on the Oregon Coast. Worth the wait in line!

We followed the advise on TripAdvisor and had lunch at this busy café. Ate under umbrellas, great staff, wonderful seafood, great views of the docks across the street. Prices seemed reasonable. Definitely worth a stop.

The HIE referred us to Local Ocean Seafood and we are pleased that they did. The atmosphere is great and you have a great view of the docks. In fact you are right across the street from them. It was fun walking over there after dinner and actually speaking with a fishermen, who was out for a walk with his... More

We are on a cousin/sister road trip up the Oregon Coast. It was actually inspired by a review of a bakery in Astoria on NPR's The Splendid Table "Road Food" reviews by Sterns. We planned to drive from my home in the San Francisco Bay Area to Ashland and out to the Coast. In the midst of planning, the Stern's... More

Such fresh seafood and a creative menu. Fun to watch the open kitchen on the first floor, but the view is better on the second floor. Friendly staff, excellent service, delicious seafood dishes, and an open-air ambience when the weather's nice. Sit inside or outdoors on the bayfront. They also have a fresh fish market on-site! Particularly love their garlic... More
